the new collection 2009 of W. Britain (1 Viewer)

The pith helmet does look more WW1 than the typical 19th century Wolsey helmet. It is a very nice looking traditional glossy set, just wish you could buy extra privates

I agree. I wish you could makeup 8 privates and one officer. A piper would be great too.

Great to see those new AWI figures will be availible soon. Been waiting to see then listed as opposed to just a pic on the back of a flyer.

Awesome stuff, I particularly like the new Black Watch releases in matte and the Classic Gloss releases, especially FIW and British colonial. In due time would like to see some more Indians for the FIW series, especially on a canoe... But a breather is always useful...

Looks like I need to work some more overtime!!! Very impressed by the new AZW figures. More Zulus to follow I hope. Remember they did outnumber our boys quite significantly!

Again, this latest batch of upcoming releases is almost overwhelming in scope and there are really so many exciting looking new items to consider it is somewhat overwhelming. I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of the Durbar images too, and wondered if Ken or somebody else could tell us in what approximate year this series is "set" for lack of a better term.

Otherwise right now, my favorite looking releases are probably the Jane Austen figures and the Black Watch band. Way to go WB!

Cheers,
MD

Hi Mister Dave,

There were three large Delhi Durbars. They were celebrated in the following years: 1877, 1903, and 1911. The Britains series, both the older series and the new series, represent events and persons associated with the 1903 Delhi Durbar.

I hope this information answers your question. If you have further questions, please post them and I am certain someone will be able to answer them.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Thank you very much, Pat. That is exactly the kind of information I was hoping to get. :)
