Hi guys ,
With the official announcement of 4 new lines coming in 2012 , its time to start the speculation mill rolling again :) . This year has and continues to be a landmark year for First Legion and it many collectors .I know what i would like to see next year but to be honest I'm not sure just how much more I can afford in terms of space and spreading my First Legion bucks between more periods of Military History I have a collecting interest in . I will put my four forth as follows in two list of four (or five ) , first what I would love to see second what my wallet would love to see ie.. something I don't collect but would look great done by First Legion .

Dream List
1. World War I ( eastern front would be first choice )
2. The Wars of Frederick the Great
3. Franco Prussian War
4. Viking Age

Ones I'd admire from the side lines I think :redface2:
1. Ancient Greece
2. Boar War
3. Vietnam War or other Modern War ( Iraq or Afghanistan )
4. Zulu Wars
5. American Indian's and US Wars

Regards Gebhard

All good predictions but I think they will be something not done in 1:30 like Franco Prussian.

As Brad and Gephard said, Franco-Prussian would sure be interesting to see done. Got nothing against WW1 or SYW, either.:wink2: -- Al

I would definitely be interested in a "100 Years War" range.

No interest until T-34 & Hanomag are produced. PzIVF2 would be cherry on top.

These are my guesses for the 4 new Lines in 2012

Medieval (100 Years War)
Ancient (Greeks vs. Persians)
Colonial Wars (Northwest Frontier)
Frederick the Great (7 Years War in Europe)

My hope is for the Crimea although WW1 or the Boar war would also be pretty cool .
[although I would happily forgo all but the crimea if FL released some more french artillery for the Nap series]

Hello guys,
Very excited with the official announcement of 4 new lines coming in 2012!

These are my guesses:

- French Foreign Legion (Mexican War)
- Franco/Prussian War
- Zulu War
- WWI

Regards
Xavier

Judging from the popularity of the Crusader range I think we will see something from the ancient times. I would love FL to do ancient Greeks and Persians imagine a First Legion Phalanx.

WW 1 is another line I would like to see, the battle of the Somme a British regiment going over the top. I know Matt has said in the past that he's not that into WW 1 but with 4 new ranges coming I could see it being included.

I would also like to see the Penninsula war being covered, I know this would not count as a new range but I think it would be very popular and would offer a chance for some good personalities like sir John Moore,Black bob Crauford to name a few. FL could also do their first Spanish figures.
hope your listening Matt.

Predictions:
-WWI
-FIW
-The West (Indian Wars)
-Victoria's little wars

or Ancient Greece.

Come on, it has to be at least one of these...^&grin

Morning Guys ,
I'm really surprised there are several mentions of a Franco-Prussian War line besides my own {bravo}} this line would offer a lot of possibilities and I don't think it has ever been touched in the Matte category . Regards Gebhard

-WWI
-THE WEST(INDIAN,US CAVALRY, ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE)
-ANCIENT GREECE
-PENINSULAR WAR (UK, PORTUGAL & SPAIN AGAINST NAPOLEON)

Francisco:salute::

I would say the Franco-Prussian War is the frontrunner among collectors.

Yes. It's about time someone did a series on the "other" Franco-German conflict. Tends to get lost amongst the older Napoleonic wars and the later world wars. -- Al

Hi Steve ,
I'm sure that would be on top of your wish list :wink2: I have been watching the special Vietnam in HD on Cable not sure if you have seen it over there yet ,, Man that is something .. I think I would have rather faced uncle Joe's hordes at least the lines were clear cut most of the time . Don't know how those guys did it , Nothing but respect for those guys . Regards Gebhard

I couldn't agree more , even when it comes to kit figures this one gets neglected . I would love to see what First Legion could do with this line , could spell the end for my Crusader collection :redface2: . There comes a time when you gotta make tuff decisions .. Regards Gebhard
