The "Rat Patrol" (1 Viewer)

I remember this show fondly as a child in the 60s..I would hate to see it today, with different eyes and mindset. i'm sure it was very hokey to say the least..same as watching "scary" movies involving vincent price or christopher lee...they make me cringe today, can't even watch them..Rat ptrol was exciting for a kid, def no "Combat", but great war/adventure series..UKReb - my dad was a WW2 Marine Corps veteran and hated "Gomer Pyle USMC", blasted it every time it came on tv..we were not allowed to watch it..on the other hand, he loved Godzilla movies...

Hello folks. Ah yes, the "Rat Patrol" was a must viewing in my house growing up. I agree somewhat with the others that Combat was a superior show.

BUT ... the number show (IMHO) has to be "12 o"Clock High". I think it aired for 75 - 80 episodes and had just about every STAR that at the time as a guest appearence.

Remember some of the others. Baa Baa Black Sheep, McHales Navy, Victory At Sea, Convey and Court Martial. Then of course there was some GREAT Mini-series.

Anyone else remember Gary Lockwood as "The Lieutenant"? Short lived show but interesting. -- Al

I remember the Lieutenant tv show.
It is one of the reasons I joined the Marine Corps
way back in 1966.
