So to put a nicer slant on it, this trooper is paying the friendly indian to shine the mirror on him in the hopes of building up a tan.^&grin. Good scenes Mike. Robin.

Robin...ty...these modern resorts of the 1860's had everything...sauna...mudbaths...massages...tanning salons...etc...^&grin

In other news, the VA has decided this unlucky NCOs claim for PTSD and various physical ailments as a result of Apache torture is not service connected.

😂 great thread and good pics mate I agree reminds me of a Saturday arvo movie as a kid.

That was partly my inspiration too Mike...All those old 'Cowboys & Injuns' flicks at the Kids Matinee on a Saturday at our local cinema (The Regal, Renfrew).
I still remember getting sixpence from my Mum ( a shilling if I took Gordon along)...3 pence for each of us to get in and the other 3 pence for an 'ice lolly' each!!!
Happy days,
Andy.

If you did not waste that money on treats Andy and put it away instead, they would have fetched a pretty penny current day.^&grin. Agree those were the days as a kid the Saturday matinee was always a Western which had me spell bound, no TV in the fifties to compare with. Raced home from the Tivoli Naracoorte and tried to re-enact the film with my cereal box Western figures. The seed was planted for the future it seems. Robin.

Andy...
they are really nice figures...
they tell a dark part of history...
and of coarse I'm not near as old as you....^&grin...
but from my recollection...
the only thing missing is the ant pile...^&grin

Morning Mike,
A very interesting and successful mini-dio.

Is the diorama base / back ground one of your latest creations or a previous work?
As you know I have TWO of your masterpieces and enjoy them very much.

Can we see more of the base / background?

WOW! A big story told here with only five figures.

Joe...thank you!

Larry...thank you!

it's an old piece...
very big and very heavy...
too big to sell/ship...

I am going to take it to the Texas Show next year and give someone a very good deal on it...

I think you have the log cabin mountain one I made...
it's pretty small and you know how heavy it is...
this one is real similar...only...this piece is huge...
the Texas Show would be my only chance to sell it...

Hey Mike, heck, just get in your car and drive up to Mid-Coast Maine ...{eek3}
It is "ONLY" about 2100 miles … a short jaunt up the coast.

If you figure 300 Miles/Day that is only 7 days up and 7 days home. Piece of cake!!!!!
Getting a little heavy on the peddle and don't stop for pee breaks you can make it in maybe 5 days.

Tell you what .. I'll give you a room and I'll even throw in a good ol' fashion New England Lobster bake!^&grin
