the sculptor's name (1 Viewer)

I collect K&C and Jenkins figures. I also have some W. Britains figures. I also collect 28mm figures. I noticed that with the 28mm figures the name of the person who did the sculptures is listed on the web site and sometimes on the blister pack

I was just wondering who might know who sculpted the various sets that are out there in the 60mm world.

I know John Jenkins does his own work, and that Andy does a lot of the design work for K&C.

Just wondering. Thanks for any help.

A couple who come to mind off the bat are Alan Caton, whose sculpts are found in many catalogs; David Scheinemann, who sculpts for Tradition, and Charles Stadden, some of whose sculpts are still in production.

Others I can think of, though they're sculptors from an earlier generation, are John Scheid, Bill Imrie and Clyde Risley, and William Murray.

Also, Ulrich Puchala in Germany, who has moved to larger-scale figures from his 54mm line. Helmut Peipp sculpts his figures.

For the lines produced in China, I might expect that they're relatively anonymous, that the sculpt is one more piece of work. I might expect the same for figures from Russia, that it's more likely that the sculptors are relatively unknown than known.

I think Alan Ball's does quite a bit,especially for Britains.Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Thanks everyone. For people like myself, who have only been in the hobby for a handful of years, we don't have the background on all the companies and sculptors that they use. People talk about what figures they like and why. For me it is the sculptures that help capture a figure's "story" - so I appreciate the work these folks do. With out them we have ?????

And don't forget Ken Osen...he does a lot of sculpting for Britains, but has worked as a 'free agent' for years.
