Terrific story. You have to feel good after reading that one. My TriGreat Grandfathers Civil War Uniform hangs in the Boonsboro Maryland History Museum, hat and all. At first it just about burned me that a family member a generation before me donated it, but I now know it is preserved properly and for all who care to see.
