I received the new JJD StuH 42 Assault Howitzer SdKfz 142/2 model (GA-24B) a few days ago and it’s a beauty! I decided to get this version as it’s slightly different from the Stug III and I’ve got enough Stugs… Plus, the model came with some neat stowage pieces.

I’ve got the StuH 42 in a vignette display with some First Legion Fallschrimjager figures. Sheffield Miniatures products were used for the ruins and rubble and base. To make the terrain, I used a section of Sheffield Miniatures sand and grass matting with finely sifted sand from my yard carefully worked around the grass tufts. I can’t argue with the authentic look that comes with using natural products.

Enjoy 😃

Brilliant again Tman 👏 You always know how to position the figures perfectly 👌. Well done Paul

Thank you everyone for the kind comments on my diorama! This one came out quite well in my opinion, in part due to the use of natural products to help blend things together (my “first draft” of this display used model railroad/hobby sand and it just didn’t look right when compared to the real deal).

I appreciate all the support 😃
