I'm ready to go too...

this will be my 4th show...

for anybody going for the first time...

San Antonio and the Menger Hotel is a blast...

the Menger has a nice wood rich bar that was home to Teddy Roosevelt and his recruiting for the Rough Riders...

the Alamo is literally one block from it...a must see...avoid the basement tour...^&grin

the Riverwalk is only 3 blocks from it...food...shops and drinks...and is great if you're bringing someone special...very romantic at night...the river boat ride is pretty cool...

the Menger also holds the title for the most haunted hotel in the US...

but I have never seen a ghost there...

however...Martin looked pretty strange one trip though...^&grin...just kidding Martin...

best Mexican food in Texas...BBQ too...my two favorite restaurants are Mi Tierra and La Margarita...a little touristy...but huge portions and strong drinks...that is if you're not still stuffed from the free huge breakfast buffet offered in the Menger package deal...and that breakfast is HUGE!!!

trolleys will take you almost anywhere and the people are great...

not to mention...this show has really grown...and under K&C's management with Martin running things...

I know this will be the best show yet...

I am soooooooo ready to go...

KingsX is in the lobby...so bring your wallet...

We are at 11 days to go here. Looks like the Treefrog community will be out in force for the show as several other members have mentioned their
participation !!! ^&grin

I wouldn't think of missing this show. San Antonio is a great town, and this show couldn't be in a better place. It is not the largest show I have ever been to, but the people are some of the nicest. I recall last year being surprised at the number of women at this show....not the variety being dragged about by collector spouses and boy friends, but many who were collectors themselves. Who knew Texas was so progressive?!

Looking forward to catching up with some Treefroggers there...I am easy to spot; I am Michael Miller's designated driver.

yeaaaaa...right...

after the way you got lost and missed every exit we were supposed to take at Hackensack...

even with the aid of your GPS system...

and after having to sit on the floor of your van with no seat belt as you whipped through turns at 40 miles per hour...while you also managed to hit every bump possible on the street...

and after you left me stranded at the show to catch a cab...

I wouldn't let you drive me anywhere...

What are you talking about?! It was the New Jersey Turnpike! There is no street...just bumps!
