I have not been to a Texas show but I may do it, I just have to decide whether I am willing to miss the Preakness Stakes after a 2 year hiatus (Have had tix for 20 years)................................tough call!

The PREAKNESS stakes or a toy soldier show; is that even a debate?

Oh but Mike Miller is going to buy you two beers; hmm..........decisions, decisions.

Only if we go for BBQ on the riverwalk.

And I get to see the Alamo.

I promise I'll take my hat off when we go into the chapel.

Sacred ground and all.

George...

I'm gonna hook you up at the Alamo...
I'll arrange for you to see the basement like Peewee wanted to...

and just don't pee on it like Ozzy did...

I'll go just to hang out with you and John/I'll talk Tom into coming...........I'll leave the toy soldier selling to others.

I'd seize up and throw a rod on my big block 454 toy soldier motor...................:wink2:

I will buy beers and BBQ for George, Tom, John and Mike.

Heck, we will go to Rudy’s for the BBQ and drink the beers while we stand in line for brisket……..

Mike, John, Jason, Tom, George; all we need now is Howard to come on over from down under........................upon returning home, my girlfriend asks "So how was the toy soldier show?".....me; "There was a toy soldier show this weekend?"...............

George mate,
At the start of this year it was my plan to attend the 40th Anniversary Show in Chicago. My wife Jen and I had then planned to go onto tour Boston, Philly, Washington and visit Gettysburg National Park. However our Government will not permit overseas travel until sometime in 2022. I have extremely fond memories of my trips to Chicago in 2010, 2011 and 2013 and the great pleasure of having a beer with your good self and fond memories also of chatting with your Dad. May he Rest In Peace.

I have mentioned many times to my collector group in the Land Of OZ that a trip to Chicago is a must in their lifetime. The list is long of the friendships I made with U.S. Collectors and of the great hospitality shown to me. If this year's Chicago goes ahead, then I hope whilst your famous five are downing that light weight beer that you have there, that you take a moment to remember that I would give anything to be there with you.

Stay safe cobber, Cheers from the Land Down Under, Howard:salute::

Best post in a long time and hopefully this is a true prediction of the future…...

Yes, it is still in my 'wish list' but who knows when we can travel that far again.

Even getting away to another state in OZ is a problem at the moment with our state borders especially here in the 'WILD' West !!!!

Sounds like a great trip, what a shame.....................i have fond memories of our meet ups as well, my Dad always enjoyed seeing you at the shows, I recall meeting you for the first time at a show in NJ the Sunday after one of Louis' shindigs...............................hopefully you can make that trip next year??

Stay safe and be well.
