the V series has landed!! (2 Viewers)

Just received mine today and have mixed feelings about it. The figures are excellent and very nicely painted.
The V1 on the other hand have few manufacturer defects imo that's kind of annoying. Just wondering if yours
have the same issues ?

Must of been tested on a ramp at one point?

No never . The launching velocity from a ramp would have killed the pilot ( they had no adapted pressure suits yet). It was released from a plane like a glider . The engine was started only after a few seconds when the Reichenberger reached a certain speed dropping down. In doing so they reduced the difference in speed between gliding and flying to a minimum.

I can't see the launch velocity being the reason as the Me 163 had a top speed of near 600mph more than 200mph than the V1 and was powerred by a rocket motor

cnq...

Mine also has no marks of any kind on like yours is displaying. I think by the look this is just been poorly made at the factory and was missed by QC. I know they are sold out at TG but, speak with your dealer about replacing as a few outlets still have them in stock you may end up with a correct one.

When fired from a ramp the V1 developped 390 KG trust or the equivalent of 750km/h .The Me 163 had a higher top speed yes, but this speed was reached gradually, there was a gradual built up to 600mph from take off to top speed over several minutes which is completely different .
That is why the Reichenberger was launched from a plane to allow it to gradually pick up speed in a dive before firing the engine

Guy Walter HWK 109-509A-2 liquid-fueled rocket motor providing 3,800lbs of continuous thrust. Its maximum speed was 596 miles per hour with a service ceiling of 39,700 feet. The Me 163 B-1 held an amazing 31,500 feet-per-second rate-of-climb bit better than the V1

Thank you uksubs & Mitch.
I got the set directly from TG to take advantage of the club figure so I don't know what could they do for me now especially they're all sold out at TG.

I would contact Tg direct as I've always found them very helpful

I would agree with Neil contact them directly and see what happens from there

Great advice Neil. I trust they (TGM) will take care of you! Hopefully Vicki who posts for TGM will see your post too. All the same, I feel your pain being in limbo with a very nice looking sold-out set that did not make the grade.

Positive Vibes,
~Beau

I think TG is bringing out another camo version of the Reichenberger, maybe you could ask him to swap your damaged one for a new one in other camo colours

Thom got back to me saying he'll look for a spare at his shop to replace it for me. So I'm now patiently waiting for it.
