Caught the first episode of season 3 last night, the ending was pretty intense as usual with this series.

For anyone who thinks this is some cheesy horror series about zombies, you are totally missing the boat; the zombies are part of the series for sure, but it's got more to do with the people who aren't zombies and the toll this is taking on them as human beings.

Also caught the first in what I hope are many episodes of a new series comic book men about three guys who work in a comic book store in New Jersey and a fourth guy who just hangs out there.

It is beyond hysterical, the flea market scene last night had me laughing so hard I was almost crying; reminded me of a few shows I've attended in the past to say the least.......................this show is going to be good.

I think this is still season 2. It was just split up like many tv series are now doing. I caught it last night and thought it was a pretty good episode. Im curious whats going to happen with shane.

Shane ? good question...But i bet that answer won't be far off...

Thanks to a nitwit on another forum who's not familiar with the term "spoiler alert", he spilled the beans on what happens to Shane........................

Walking Dead, one of the best shows on tv right now.

Comic Book men did nothing for me. That store is about 30 minutes north of me. I'm in that area all the time, and never even knew it was there.

The Collingswood Auction I grew up not to far from there. What you saw on the show really doesn't show you the true level of how low humanity can really be. You should go inside the building ! Thats where the full timers sell. Like they said on the show, "those are the people not allowed in the mall". There is an even worse auction on Rt 70 in Lakewood NJ if you can believe it. Compared to the people there the kid playing the banjo in Deliverance is Nobel Prize Winner !

I liked the part where Ming was getting ready to leave the fleamarket and he was trying to unload his stock and told the one guy "25.00 and you can have everything on the table" to which the guy said "How about 22.00?".....................priceless, or the other hobo who got torked off at the guy smashing the plate and making him pay the other guy for it..............I found it to be funny.

Walking Dead filmed right here in Atlanta Ga. Oddly, I've never actually seen a zombie 'round these parts...:D

The farm scenese are apparently shot on a large movie lot south of the city. Last summer they closed off a section of HWY 20 to film the scenes from the beginning of the season. The casting folk like skinny types for the zombies. There was some complaints last year that the zombies didn't represent the diversity of Atlanta appropriately, but nothing came of it.

Downtown Atlanta was very recognizable during the first season.

I enjoy the show. Never read the comic books so I have no idea what to expect or not to expect. Some fans of the original comics seem to get irritated when it veers from that narrative. Not sure why, they always make changes going from print to celluloid. Heck, even Shakespeare gets mangled!

George, in the comic, Shane lasted all of 2 issues, so to date he has received much more face time in the series. I actually hope that Shane stays in the series. He offers the bad guy vs good guy inter-group conflict that forces viewers to pick a side every episode...Michael

I found that quarry from the 1st season on Google Maps. It would have been cool to use Stone Mountain on the other side of the city as refuge but the quarry makes a good water source.

I like Daryl. They haven't done much with T-Dog yet. The actor who plays Hershel Greene the farm owner is excellent. Other than Maggie, the rest of the Greene family is colorless.

George, I,m ashamed of you. I tried to watch that "Comic Book Show" as I thought it was about collectibles, thus perking my interest.
Could only watch about 20 minutes of those freaks. They remind me of the few people you will see at OTSN, completely living in some other world, dressed like something from the 70,s, long sgraggly hair, just not for me.

I thought it was funny, specifically the fleamarket scenes..............it may die on the vines from here, but that part was funny..........

I was in Redbank today and went into the comic book store. Let's just say I'm glad I never read or collected comic books.

I really enjoyed this season although there are not many characters that I like. Maybe Daryl. The kid gives me the creeps like Damien from the Omen. I know this show is based on a graphic novel but have avoid any details so as to not spoil it. Along with Eastbound and Down and Spartacus it makes for some entertaing watching.

Blimey only on episode 11 season 2 in the UK, I am sooooo tempted to scroll down and get some spoilers.... ^&grin

Spoiler guess. The two groups of Living are about to have a battle when a horde of Walkers attack the farm forcing the two groups to ally in defense. Sort of like "The Battle of Five Armies" in The Hobbit only with three armies. A season ending cliffhanger.
