The Walking Dead, season 3 and Comicbook Men........ (1 Viewer)

Aside from Daryl, there is nobody on this show I'd be upset about if they were offed.

Daryl is far and away my favorite character, the writers IMO have whiffed at creating characters other than him that I care about; if everyone else dies, I'd still watch the show as Daryl wandered around the countryside killing walkers.

I think it was a mistake to kill off Merle as well, would have liked to have seen him become a vital member of the group, somewhat making up for what he did in the town, he could have done a 180 and become a good guy instead of the @#$%heel that he was, he was starting to come around and then he dies, too bad...........

I like them both, and was also sorry to see Merle go. I also liked Shane, even though he had some character issues. Kind of hard to attach oneself to a particular character, what with the mortality rate, and all. I still think Rick is a good character but don't much care for anyone else, except maybe Hershel, but that one leg is going to get him. -- Al

They kept saying Tyreese was going to be a big factor but I haven't seen it yet.Maybe he ends up joining Rick's group and becomes a big factor next year.I wouldn't be surprised if the guv survives into next year.

Finale true to form. Another major cast member gone. A lot more mouths to feed for Hotel State Pen. And the gov'ner still on the loose. All in all, a good episode. Carl is developing an interesting attitude that is sure to come up later. Actually ended on an up note for Rick. Is the ghost of Lori expunged? Looks like it might be. But they are still living in that prison. -- Al

You're one of the series writers aren't you?..................:wink2:

I'm a bit confused here; Rick, the guy who didn't want any outsiders joining his group, brings in women, children and old men and women instead?

And our little Carl really has done some growing up now hasn't he?

The gov and two other members of his group live to fight another day; everyone else in his army won't be coming down for breakfast.

I thought the finale was one of the weaker episodes. The prison attack becomes a snoozer, the massacre of the Guv's troops was predicable, and I see the remaining Woodbury group as nothing but Zombie fodder for next season. Carl is becoming an unlikable little A#@# again, and why not live in some comfort at Woodbury. The prison is cheerless, somber and somewhat old enviroment. Also, guess who is coming to Rick's house, the new looker, dark haired Carol as a possible love interest. And of course the SOB Guv now becomes a revengful never ending foe to the new group, with him not getting his just desserts for all his transgressions. Totally predicable, anticipated, and lazy script writing. See you next season...Michael

Have to agree with Michael on this one.The prison attack wasn't that well done.Taking all those extra people in especially the older ones will slow them down.I hate to say this but I understand Carl's reasoning. He's becoming a lot like the Governor.

Carl needs pumping fulling of lead!

Overall I thought it was good episode, tied up some loose ends but left enough out for a good season opener without us screaming arrrgh!!! we have to wait 6 months for the conclusion.

A bit disappointed in the final episode. Very predictable stuff. We knew one major character was doomed. For some reason, I thought that Glenn was a goner. Things are going too well for him. The Guv is no longer interesting. He might become more so as a rogue element though. I like bad arse Carl better than wimp Carl. Now on to the Spartacus finale! My prediction there is a lot of blood.

There are major diversions from the "graphic novel". A character like the surviving dark haired woman was supposed to kill the Governor. She still has a chance. Maybe all those new Woodburians will clean up the mess around the prison and start tilling the outer yard. canned goods won't last forever.

Carl gave Rick a good verbal *****slap. My son has been doing that to me since he learned to talk. :wink2:

Looking forward to it. Andrea and the Ninja woman annoyed me last season, but so did the kid the year before and he turned into a bad arse. Also looking forward to American Horror Story tonight. A great concept retaining the cast from year to year but changing the plot.

Almost time for the zombies to return. Season 4 starts this Sunday, Oct. 13, at 9pm EST. Chomp, chomp.^&grin -- Al

Like that a lot
