I have three War along the Nile displays and this one has the makings of the Battle of Tamai, which features the currently available Y&L Regt, BW Regt and NB (for the British) being attacked by a mixed Mahdist force of Camels, Ansars and Hadendoa warriors. A bit sparse in places, but plenty of room for the new releases and a few more duplicates.

Figures – WBritains
Scenics – JG Miniatures
Backdrop - Traverse Dioramics

Cheers :salute::

Jeff

Hey Jeff you are having way too much fun with these.{sm4} Nice balance of figures to terrain. Reminds me, my Nile steamer needs floating again, perhaps next few days. Robin.

I think it looks great. I like sparseness. Dioramas that try to throw in everything are too busy for me, just my personal opinion. Nice backdrop.

Great scene you've built! I love the new naval troops and the Gatling gun! I was curious about the Mahdists flags, were they only one sided in real life or was this a sculpting decision?
Best,
Josh

All my reference shows one sided flags. They had quite a complicated regimental system, not as random as they can first appear.

Martin,
Thank you for the reply. I didn't think Britains would leave that out as a detail.
Best,
Josh
