Well, having campaigned for the best part of a year for Britains to produce a Sudan War range in matt, I feel it is only appropriate to say a massive thanks to Richard and Ken and the rest of the Britains team for listening and then producing what I can only describe as an amazing new series of figures!

In all the excitement at the London show on Saturday I forgot to ask when these will be released! Hopefully in the not too distant future. ;)

Thank you all.

Jeff

A very happy Sudan fan. :):):)

Thanks for the pics of the new Sudan figures Jeff. Looks like another interesting series. John

Very nice I may sneak a few in for a small vignette (especially with that camel :))

Ken posted on another thread they will be in the 2010 catalogue with arrivals coming in the spring.

These figures really are right on money, very nice indeed.I think I will have my own modest collection of these.:)

Ken posted last nite to expect them in late Spring --i.e. May/early June

May/June :eek::eek::eek:
That sure is a very long time to test one's patience.
Konrad

Actually that is better for me but god only knows what will come out in the meantime.:)

I'd be lying if I said I didn't want Sudan figures sooner, and I have John Jenkins Gordon at Khartoum set on its way.

But I'd rather have something done right than done quickly, and I'm really impressed with this line from the pics that have been posted here (thanks Jeff).

I'll be buying them, and to be honest, with all the great AZW figures coming out my budget could use the break.

I only wish those limited stretcher bearers were more affordable.

Will buy all these figures as soon as come . Hope will come single officers, this time, and a gatling with servants

A question to Britains.
The AZW line has several buildings and so does the ACW line.
Will there be any buildings, scenics for the "War Along The Nile" series?
Konrad

I really like the look of these figures in this new Britains series. I would like to see Britains also do the famous General Gordon Khartoum scene that JJ just put out.

At this time, I can see 7 figures of regular troops : 3 British and 4 Scottish.

Correct?

Ken, will come soldiers on camel?

Yes... If you notice in one of the London Show photographs there is already a camel in the series with more coming. At least seven figures have been added that will appear in the February catalog to what was shown there.
We will be adding additional figures to all of the popular ranges with the supplement later in 2010 too.
I hope this helps a bit,
Ken

Many thanx for fast answer!

Can you tell me if will come single officer with revolver, or is it secret?

Wow, lovely figures.

I heard on the grapevine that WB will release a gunboat or some other craft to go with this series? Care to confirm (or evade!) Ken? I have to ask, to put my fears to bed, this won't start the phasing out of the Rorkes Drift range will it?

Cheers, as per usual great work.

I think they are wrapping up Rorkes Drift and then moving onto another AZW battle, nothing has been confirmed but possibly Isandlwana.

I also thought this. Well, I suppose it means they can release a new set of figures for us all to collect. ;)
