The Zulu War (1 Viewer)

Further..

This (and the back) views give a good idea of how the men looked the time of the Battle of Ulundi. The white foreign service helmet has been stained khaki and the tunic is buttoned to hide the white plastron. A haversack hangs under his left arm and a waterbottle under his right arm. This man has a good conduct stripe on his right sleeve. The Martini-Henry carbine is at his right side and his bamboo lance rests in a bucket on his right stirrup. There is also another bucket on his left stirrup which is correct. His mess tins are carried on the valise behind the saddle.

The Britains appear quite larger, closer to K&C size. Looks like Frontline is true 54mm.

I thought you were referring to the "Saving the water barrel set". It is described but not pictured.

In the movie Zulu there is a scene in which a Welch Corporal shows some of his deep pastoral roots and tries to tend to a small calf in the kraal during the Zulu onslaught. He then leave the gate open and, as a result, Cy Enfield takes some directorol liberty to show a cattle stampede in front of the mission station.
The reality of it is that the cattle were in a laager to the west of the fortified Rorke's Drift, and were likely set free early on to use the laager as a defensive position.
