Thin Red Line (1 Viewer)

Amen to that. It might be a nice gesture if one of new Andy's Spitfires or Hurricanes could be donated to Battle of Britain museums.

The one at Hendon springs to mind, fantastic museum with a great Battle of Britain section.

Guys

Just had the master clay pictures through and i must say the Sculpting is the best i have seen. The kilts look like they are moving and swaying as they do.

I was just about to pot the pictures on here!! however as an extra cool thing for Louis's Symposium i am leaving the pictures until then.................sorry guys.;)

Pictures after the NY event and the master models (unpainted) will be at the London show at the end of March!:D

Tony, you can't tell us how cool they look and then not let us see the pics!!!!

I don't collect this series but I am eagerly anticipating the Thin Red Line personally and will no doubt buy these. If I thought the actual charge was going to comprise 30 or so Cavalry I'd buy it like a shot. My main concern is that the whole series goes off on a tangent and we get Florence Nightingale and the nurses fannying around some hospital which is just going to kill it off for me.
What say you Big Tony - are we getting plenty more Cavalry or will you be giving us Flo instead?

Hi RD

No need to panic..........we dont fanny on! everytime we do a release there will be charge peices in it. So if we move around the Crimean primarily ACTION battles we will still be doing charge.........and yes wounded, falling, fallen etc etc

Myself and Andy are working from the Guns backwards........hence no Nolan yet!
30 charge peices!!!? well if it keeps going like it is then yes we will but there is a lot of investment going on! so Cash flow demands first!! and please remember it is a 6month cycle !

Funny also had a question put to me that Shannon and Pete at Treefrog have stommped up half the development costs for the K&C UK exclusive Crimean!! eeeeeeeerrr no thats why it is a K&C UK exclusive.

Shannon has just become the major stockist in the states..as she saw the potential in it for the states. Also we are working very well with treefrog as there ethos out look etc is very similar to that of ours.

So even if we do, not that we are yet! do Florence there will be no fannying on!

We Want Flo, We Want Flo, We Want Flo, (Well, I do anyway).
And George Paget with his cheroot, and Fanny Duberly, and Colin Campbell, and a Terrified, Flatulent figure at the Guns, on a horse, trying to surrender....!!!! :D:D:D
And, and a LOT more charging cavalry, and deid and dyin' folk, and riderless horses, and more Russians & Cossacks and stuff. And General Scarlett, and yon guy that wrote for The Times, and Winter Siege Stuff, and a lot of hairy kilted Scotsmen - Shock Troops of the Empire - Bar None.
Ummmm......PLEASE. :eek::):eek:

Cheerio

I must agree with RedDevil on this one. We need a real charge. That means lost of lancers in all sorts of poses attacking the guns. Much as I admire old Florence I don't know if she really lights my candle

Damian

Alas also remember that not EVERYONE will buy 60 + of each kind to make a massive charge so the general poses sell!:)

OK that was a figure I plucked out of thin air but 40 would be more realistic - honest! Errr OK maybe 30 but definitely more than 10!!

Tony
Be creative. Swap the heads, take the odd helmet off put a bandage around the one chaps head. Put an eye patch on one.
We want a real charge. There were 600 so at a ratio of 1:30 that gives us .....
Um I don't know maybe Red Devil is good at maths.

Oh surely you'll want more than 20 now that you've envisioned your living room floor covered with troopers...anything less will be a let down, right? :D

So we keep the same lancer and change the head.................you can hear it now!! Those guys at K&C and K&CUK have just done it again and used the same moulds and tried to pull the wool over our eyes!

And not forgetting it costs me the development cost of each pose change and then i have to run with a minimum of 500! so you guys buy 20 i have to take a stock and pay for 10000!!!:D

investment anybody say if we all chip in £20k each ill do it!:D

Tony

Tony -

Personally I think you need to save your hard earned cash for a much more important series...the Toy Soldier Dealers of the World.

The Dispatch Dave one would probably the the most popular among the ladies...though the Tony figure might be hard to sell...

Maybe THAT could be a joint Treefrog / K&C UK venture...

Someone needs to start a 'professional conversion service' that will take K&C and skillfully change heads, arms, etc. That would allow for endless variation, and would truly make one of a kind pieces.

I was looking at that Crusade set of a Moor on a rearing horse flaying at a Crusdaer on the ground defending himself with a lance. You could easily do that for the charge. Lancer or cavalry man on rearing horse. Russian fending him off. A hand to hand set would be good.
Damian

If you guys have cool uniforms and runabout bashing one another I'm game for that line:D:D.

Jeff

They are all out mate!!!! the post office did admit to miss lay a WHOLE mail bag of ours!! there were 800 - 1000 copies in the one bag!

Tony,

Dave put a replacement copy in with the order I received today, thanks.

Sounds good and I like the sketch, I presume that the Highlanders are the same price as the Russian gunners? if so, one of each please :D

Jeff
