General Sir Rowland "Daddy" Hill, 1st Viscount Hill of Almaraz, GCB, GCH (11 August 1772 - 10 December 1842), one of Wellington's most reliable Brigade and Corps commanders throughout the Napoleonic Wars. He capped that effort by leading the charge of Adam's brigade against the Guard near the end of Waterloo and eventually succeeded Wellington for some years as Commander and Chief of British Forces.
