Thanks

Depends on the range and even within a range, for example in the latest SS Troopers releases, the seated 4 group yes, the new marching figures no, as they are a bit taller than FL.

Romans some of the relatively older TG yes, but the newer ones are a bit bulkier overall.

I was going to start with some diorama pieces such as ammo boxes etc .

They work very well with others, i have them with my Warpark and K & C dioramas, do not collect FL, to expensive, great stuff but compared with others such as TG and J Jenkins they are a little too pricy for me.

I'll give it a go! I take your point with FL I'm still working my way through the Retreat from Russia series they are great figures but at a cost. I also think there armour is in a league of its own but again very expensive,so Ive been picking up Warpark and now will start on some T Gunn.

They fit well slightly larger is ok, soldiers are not the same size in the real world,

TG early Napoleonics on the other had were huge in the old days now all ranges fit well, but FL mass battle british are very small smaller than the standard range dont know why

Like others, I have not had good luck with TGM figures, but the diorama pieces and vehicles are often great with my WP and FL figures (also KP and WB figures.)

I know what you mean, i got rid of my Retreat from Moscow, as they just went up to stupid prices, firstly in my opinion and second when i compared what i could get from T Gunn or J Jenkins for example. The FL Battle of the Bulge Germans are incredible, but you have to draw a line somewhere. I have a lot of WP WW2 Winter Germans and a couple of vehicles, hear the tanks are great, but i collect the TG tanks and am also moving towards the Roman, Aztec and Saxon/Viking eras with my purchases lately. Have bought some Eagle Design Tanks, which i think are very good, the Stugs especially, the 88mm gun is excellent. You have just reminded me to have a search around the attic boxes for the FL Retreat from Moscow figures, think there 2 sets, when i find i will probably put on Evilbay.

On T Gunn figures, they are great and i buy all the WW2 Germans, Allies when i like them and they fit my collection, plus the Romans 9th and 19th Legions. Some maybe a little too big for FL, but they are great. See picture below for a couple of pictures, my photography skills are not great

Pic 1. Warpark figures, Eagle Design 88mm, T Gunn Truck [which is relatively old], Diodump unpainted Russia building, plus some JG Trees.

Pic 2. My WW2 SS Winter from Warpark, Diodump unpainted Russia building and the TG new winter Brummbar. and the barrel of 1 of the 3 winter Panzer IVs i have.

I find TG, TCS and K&C work well together, however TGs too big for FL & WP IMO.

I guess its a case of playing about and seeing what you're happy with?

Some TG vehicles can be on the smaller size though?

FL is a funny one, there Barbarians and romans are large 1/30 and fit well, the napoleonic vary

I think TG a K&C work well, but also TG and WB work well (Zulu & 24th for example), but WB and K&C do not.
TG must be just in the middle to work with both without noticing much.
