Hi Guys
Just to let you know we should have our releases out on the 3rd May assuming photos back in time, failing that it will be the following Tuesday. To take care of the guesswork there will be some new SFA red coats, WW1 Germans/Russians and for WW2, more 12th SS Hitlerjugend with something of a surprise for the Pacific series!

Best wishes Jack

Rock on the 3rd looking forward to these new SS

Agree, if they are the kneeing figures which have been shown unpainted on the forum and the London Show they look great, will probably have to wait until June [or beyond] for the release of the US Truck which was at the latest London Show, it did look good and there will be figures with it.

My main collection are Romans, but can see why there is a pause in release, I have all and multiples of many, but a rest from releases could give us time to consolidate and rest the CCard.

I will definitely be interested in the SS Germans, especially if they are in summer and winter variants, the Pacific theatre release could be a must as well, but only collect the Aussies and Japanese.

The newsletter just gone out to everybody on our mailing list, I will try my best to put it on the forums at some point over the weekend. However as its 5pm on a holiday weekend its time for a beer!
Best wishes Jack

USEFUL TIP
The carriage for the M3 looks virtually identical whichever way its placed on the ground, i.e the underneath looks very similar to the top part. Trying to insert the gun section into the trailer section when its upside down will produce many groans and some head scratching as we found out here! The key is to have the small shield facing towards the ground as per attached photos!. Don't say we did not warn you!

That's all for this month in terms of figures, some excellent looking pieces I'm sure you'll agree. Much more will appear in June as we get back into full production, with some real crackers planned over the next few months.
In June you will see more Russian Naps, WW2 German SS, the Dodge Jeep and some new Japanese for the Pacific theatre.

All these figures will appear on our website www.tomgunn.co.uk over the weekend. As its a holiday weekend here in the UK we are somewhat short staffed but we will do our best to load everything onto our website and add the newsletter to the 2 main forums we are members of at the earliest opportunity. Should you not wish to wait for the website to go live or worry about missing out, drop us an email to welcome@gunnclub.co.uk with your order and we will reserve for you. All orders should ship next week.

For those of you wondering how we work out our UK price we take the US $ price, divide it by 1.3 and then add 20% VAT, sometimes we take a little off and on the odd occasion we may add a little extra. We always do our best to remain competitive and are as always grateful for your support.

Thank you from us all at Thomas Gunn Miniatures

THE PACIFIC!
The final section of this months newsletter is dedicated to some new USMC figures, which are a similar size to the ones on offer from K&C and will compliment them in a diorama should you decide to place together.

USA014; An American officer kneels down observing the fall of shot through a pair of binoculars. Limited to 100 in number and priced at $40 per figure.

USA015; A USMC soldier prepares to insert ammunition into the 37mm cannon with his carbine lying next to him, useful just in case the Japanese infantry make a counter attack or a sniper is spotted! Limited to 100 in number and priced at $40 per figure.

USA016; The final release of our USMC figures is the 3rd crewman for the M3, who adjusts the elevation and depression of the 37mm cannon as his commander finds a fresh target. Also comes with carbine as per attached photos. Limited to 100 in number and priced at $40 per figure.

ACC PACK030; The 37 mm Gun M3 was the first dedicated anti-tank gun fielded by United States forces in numbers. Introduced in 1940, it became the standard anti-tank gun of the U.S. infantry with its size enabling it to be pulled by a jeep. However the continuing improvement of German tanks quickly rendered the 37 mm ineffective and by 1943 it was being gradually replaced in the European and Mediterranean theatres by the more powerful British-developed 6 Pounder cannon. In the Pacific, where the Japanese tank threat was less significant due to the lighter armour fielded by Japanese tanks, the M3 remained in service until the end of the war.

Like many other light anti-tank guns, the M3 was widely used in the infantry support role and as an anti-personnel weapon, firing high-explosive and canister rounds. Our 37mm cannon comes with a variety of 9 x different shells and 2 x ammo boxes to complete your diorama.

Price TBC early next week. The US Dodge Jeep seen at the London show end of March will be available next month and will be a useful accessory piece to complement the M3 cannon.

ACC PACKS
Recently we released a Skoda howitzer, we now have some WW2 figures to crew it. There will be a new version of the Skoda howitzer in a late war colour scheme this year as well as some WW1 artillery crew. There will be another 3 artillery pieces this year for our WW2 series please note as well as crews.

As the war drew to a close, the Hitlerjugend not only filled the ranks of the SS but were also drafted to into all other arms and services of the German army. These artillery crew therefore reflect the Hitlerjugend employed in an artillery role towards the end of the war, maybe somewhere on the Siegfried line?

ACC PACK022; A soldier sat down on top of a shell trolley smiles whilst having a brew. This set includes the figure, metal trolley with howitzer shell and the 2 spare howitzer shells also cast in metal as reflected in the pictures below. Limited to 100 in number and priced at $55/£47.50.

ACC PACK023; Consists of a soldier stood, attempting to lift/pull a wooden crate containing stores or ammunitiond. Can be used in a variety of dioramas, you just need to use your imagination. Priced at $40/£36 and limited to 100 in number worldwide.

ACC PACK024; The third of this section of Accessory Pack figures is a young solider stood with a notepad in his hand and a pencil in his mouth.
Priced at $40/£36 and limited to 100 in number worldwide.

WW2
Carrying on the German theme in this months newsletter, we have four fantastic SS figures from the 12th SS Hitlerjugend all dressed in pea dot pattern late war camo uniforms.

The 12th SS Panzer Division "Hitlerjugend" was a German armoured division which formed part of the elite Waffen-SS during World War II. The majority of its junior enlisted men were drawn from members of the Hitler-Youth ranging from 16 to 18 years old. The 12th SS saw its baptism of fire at the Normandy landings and although it acquitted itself well, suffered nearly 80% casualties by the end of the campaign.
As these are boys in arms, the figure size is slightly smaller than normal to reflect the junior age of these soldiers.

Other than SS066, all these figures are available in an A and a B version, the B version has no base contrary to the A version. This gives you the collector the opportunity to display your 'B' figures on a tank or on top of a building with no base to hinder them. For those who prefer bases we have supplied these on the A version so everybody is well catered for.

SS066; SS soldier stood on parade with left arm by his side and carrying an MG 42 over his right shoulder. Looks great on his own or in a group setting as the pictures below reflect.

GW093; Another Russian soldier stands ready to repel the German cavalry bearing down on him. The medal and copper cooking pot make a nice touch to a great looking figure.
Limited to 100 in number and priced at $40/£36 per figure.
