Glad to see this ranfe introduced but the painting has to be sorted!

I have all of the k&c ranger sets and have to be honest its as if tg has just copied these almost to the letter.

YOU CANNOT GET GREY US WW2 CANVAS EQUIPMENT! This means no grey rifle belts or parts of canvas straps. The assault vests should be khaki in colour and the black bags should have green coloured canvas straps. The rifle belt would have been worn under the vest or not at all.

The bayonet looks far too big As well!

Also full beach equipment would mean the men had inflatable life belts on too. A way round this would be producing separate belts which could be laid down near the figure as if ditched!

The no gaiters choice is a well done as the companies who scaled the cliffs at pointe du hoc did not wear full gaiters.

I raised some issues about these when they were first released. They looked strange but, Guy did not respond well to the points. I agree with your points about colour and equipment. They looked strange to me and I raised it here and elsewhere.

Sorry for repeating your thoughts mate haha! Companies should really do their research!

King and country's 3rd batch were good but even they had their faults.

I have the figures here in front of me
the rifle bets are green, the assault vest is painted in Khaki/geen, poaches are kahi green as well and the black bags have green straps. ( Or I must be colour blind)The only thing is that the inflatable life belts are missing . But as you said, they are in full combat poses, so it is easy to imagine that they have taken of these belts once ashore
I have pictures with the rifle belts worn on top of the assault jacket and not under it .

He isn't a ranger? And they would never have worn a blanket like that on the back for going into combat. Ridiculous!

Scott,
I am certainly no expert on uniforms and equipment but would the Rangers who scaled Point du Hoc have kept their life belts on ? Even if they did keep them on it limits the figures from being displayed inland where they would not have still had them on. A classic case where the manufacturer cant be right for both scenarios if you are right about them wearing them scaling the cliffs.

Cheers mate! :) well since that's over does anyone know if there will be more Ranger sets? Even with the belts being yhe wrong colour they'd still match the ones in my dio! ;)

I believe there will be more Rangers Scott. You can hardly attack Pointe du Hoc only with 4 Rangers !!

Guy 2nd from right is wearing a life belt. Difficult to say whether cartridge belt can be seen anywhere there. However, a cartridge belt is definitely visible on foreground guy 4th from left, hanging below his life belt, if one brightens the image in a photo editor. But then hard to say whether or not he is wearing an assault vest.

I never had much of a problem with the accuracy of K&C's rangers though, I always thought they were some of his better figures. So I appreciate the new TG "wet" ones: if I ever have some spare money lying around I might get a set.

Hi Samurai,
your 4th guy from the left is my 2nd from the right !!!!
