Ok guys to start I have close to 20 Thomas Gunn WWII figures.I am obviously pleased with what I have bought. The one thing that is starting to irritate me is why do
all of the German and U.S. troops look the same as far as the head sculpts and painting ? Everything in this range has Black hair, the same sideburns, basically the same look to the faces and the exact same darkened beard stub face.I know I am not seeing things here. Change up the paint as not everyone had black hair !
Still like the brand and range but to me it is time to change up the look a bit.

Good idea - was thinking of starting a starting a wave of ginger and bald soldiers - not sure what the Chinese workers will think of this as I think its going to take some explaining - but watch this space! :)

Tom,

that would also go down well with some of Wellington's "scum" because he a lot of Scots and Irish fighting for 'the King's Shilling' in the Napoleonic Wars

and there we a few redheads with those boys :) :)

and a few baldies :) :)

Greetings Tom, Not so much bald, but brown hair, light brown, etc mixed in so everyone doesn't have the jet black hair look. Just an observation.
On the plus side your figures blend great with other brands that I buy such as K&C.

well, I have had a look at the TG figures and, its not such a huge issue for me anyway. there are some similarities but, thats to be expected and, applies to other manufacturers releases. At least they are not looking like they all came from the same family!!!!

Hair colour is not a big issue for me either as most have helmets on so, in that respect I don't really care. Its another matter when they have no helmets or, soft caps. Perhaps this will be something that will be addressed down the line.

All of these things that are bandied around will eventually take a toll on the price and they will have to be increased and, then everyone will be moaning about expensive figures. TG and CS are keeping the cost down for a good section of collectors

What buying habits are you getting at ^&confuse

Tom, I think its now a case of K&C mixing well with TG not TG mixing well with K&C. With TG now doing AFV's and your original releases month after month while keeping affordable prices for collectors, its safe to say that TG is not here just to supplement K&C collections anymore. Keith

Who mixes with who first...........that is not the point here ! If all of the WWII Germans and Americans look the same with all having Jet black hair, side burns and the five o'clock shadow look then "They look the same" . By painting half of the head sculpts with a different hair color other than the black and painting half of the faces without
the razor stubble look they will enhance the look of their products. Simple fix gents and not lashing out at T.G. Yes they are doing wonderfull things !!!

It's a small job and you don't need a lot of skills to alter the hair colour of your soldiers .
I will post some pictures of a whole new TG army of soldiers with brown hair, fair hair, red hair , even grey hair - shaven and not shaven .
:)No big deal
guy:)
