Hi Guys,

One of the few benefits of not being able to travel is the extra time I have been able to devote to designing and building dioramas.

Here is the latest 21” x 21” diorama that I completed yesterday. It’s basically a section of street complete with a small French shop / house located somewhere in Normandy.

Today I set up two different ‘scenarios’... the first with a selection of ‘vintage’ K&C American Paratroopers. The second set up utilized our most recent ‘Tiger’ alongwith a few of our German ‘tankers’ arising before dawn and preparing to mount their vehicles and go into battle...

Enjoy!
Andy

I think we are all benefiting from you being confined Andy. There is always a Silver lining somewhere. Your craft skills are amazing . Robin .

The guy in the Schwimmwagen must be a bit peeved to be stuck in that traffic jam. I really like the newish 'sub-series' of the German tank crews at rest. The set WS356 is one of the best sets I have bought in years. The two tankers sitting on the Tiger, WS154, are great figures and not forgetting the figure near the statue, which adds to the dio.

Thankyou Robin,
It’s true every cloud does indeed have a silver lining...With zero travelling there’s more time to think outside the box and build, build, build.
The fun I get designing and building dioramas is also very relaxing and a great way to unwind...
What more can a poor boy ask for..?
All the best,
Andy
P.S. My only ‘*****’ about not travelling is NOT getting down to OZ this July!!!

Good one Andy
Ha ! Of course no one would do anything so offensive to statues today. Viva L'Empereur ! :salute::

Steve

What a great scene. Would love to see the recent Panther or the JagPanther in that dio.

That looks great Andy and you did an excellent job on the French shop. Well done.

and that Tiger is one cool cat...

Excellent Andy. I'm loving that French building; what detail.

I like all the little extras that you've included like the squatting Schwimmwagen grenadier hiding behind the bushes. Fantastic collection of figures in this bunch all "just where you would expect them to be" in a "Day in the Life" of German "tankers".

I look forward to seeing how you've arrayed the American Paratroopers in your other scene.

Top notch and I'm glad I can say that I have around 6 of the figures you've pictured. May have to break them out this weekend after seeing this inspiring diorama.

That is an absolute classic K&C diorama: set on the diagonal, a scracth built building, the only thing missing is a bridge over a water feature. Fantastic work, Andy, you are doing Gordon's memory proud!:salute::

Andy, great work mate, the building in particular looks incredible. Looking forward to seing you next year.
