Tiger Marking Issue (1 Viewer)

I finally got to see the K&C AK Tiger and found it to be far better than earlier KC Tiger I's. I did not find it to be superior to the CS Tiger. The boxey look of the CS Tiger is perfect for the angular Tiger I and is repeated in the KC AK Tiger. CS did a fine job at a lower price. -- lancer

I agree. My CS Tiger is one of my favorite pieces. I wish the figures were painted differently..Michael

I agree. CS is getting better on its figures but still needs some work. Other than the markings though, I really like the Tiger. I have the Wittmann version displayed with the K&C machine gun forward set in a small glass case, and they look great together.

I like my CS Wittman Tiger well enough that I traded my KC Wittman Tiger. The KC Tiger was nice but the undersize scale bothered me. As to CS figures, I am impressed with the limited number I own, ie. the Tiger crew, Some Arnhem Germans, and the 14th Brooklyns. I like the gritty, combat dirty look. -- lancer

And for me, I like the clean ,crisp, K/C style. Otherwise the animation of his figures are well done..Michael

I think we are luckey collectors to have such choice of high grade product from so many producers. K&C, CS, HB, Britains, and others. Hard for the collecting addict to lose. -- lancer

After seeing all three versions of the tiger in person today, I must say that I wasn't that impressed. The sculpting seemed rather boxy, just didn't look like a tiger should look. I own the KC Tunisian Tiger, and that beats out the CS version in all aspects hands down.

The current "Toy soldier" Tiger's remind me of the scale model Tiger's of the 70's. Close, but not real accurrate. The Tiger I has a seemily simple design with a rectangular hull and horseshoe turret, yet in reality there are alot of little details that need to be correct for it a actually look like the real thing.

I think that what needs to be remembered is that they are still "toy soldier vehicles" and not exact scale models. ;)

I pre-orderded a AB43 winter version from Brian at the Westcoaster, and I just talked to him this weekend. He said these will begin shipping out late next week. I also orderd a winter Tiger with it, and I told Brian at the Westcoaster and again this weekend that I am very concerned with decal quality and placement after seeing the photos and reading the some of the remarks here. I asked him to please double check my vehicles before shipping if he could to make sure all markings were correctly placed. Thankfully, he kindly said he would see to it. (If you read this, Thanks Brian!! :)). I'm sure most of us would agree with such things, it's often the "little details" that are paramount. When I first saw the photos posted here of the mis-marked Tiger I was quite alarmed to say the least, and franky, that simple poorly placed, under-sized decal kept me from ordering the Tiger, until recently that is. Talking to Brian at the Westcoaster and again by phone yesterday quelled my apprehension. I'm looking forward to receiving the winter Tiger and AB43 soon and will let you guys know how they look upon arrival after inspection!

The Tiger has landed and it is PUUURRRRFECT in every way right down to the markings! Very impressive indeed, and for the price, it simply cannot be beat. Wonderful creation CS! Thanks and keep up the great work! Until next time, I eagerly await your next release :)!
