Hello all,
After reading the reviews, I decided to get a CS Tiger. I received the tiger yesterday. I have to say I am not impressed with it. With the price I paid, I am expecting a little more. Especially the marking. The German Cross on the one side of the tiger. It looks like a half RR Crossing Sign.:(

Does anyone else have this issue or I am the only one?

I purchased a Wittman CS Tiger and was very pleased with it. The only down side were the markings IMO. The transfers that were used were rather cheap. Although there are probably plenty of high quality decals available, I have not done anything about replacing the current markings. At least my crosses were correct and not sideways. An increase in decal quality would be a good move for CS, otherwise I think they did a great job. -- lancer

Hi Cloneviper,

With the amount of money you had to spend you should contact Brian at CS and tell him about the issue. I would be very surprised if he didnt fix it for you quickly.

All the best

Dave

I agree the decal placement is a disaster. If you'd like to send it back to us we will fix it immediately, we'll pay for all shipping and dare I say include a free set on us for your trouble.

I can assure you we'll let our manufacturing partner see this photo immediately.

Thanks for the photo and the feedback, its critical if we are to improve on production, you deserve better: I agree.

best regards,

Brian

This may be a tall order to fulfill. My winter Tiger is marked the same way, and I would assume they all my be the same :)

Hello Brian, thank you so much for the quick reply. I am going to send you a PM about this issue.

Thanks.

Lou

Mine is also not so good. Part of the unit insignia is missing, it appears, and the cross on the side is crooked (although a bit straighter than the one pictured here). I really like the tank, other than the markings.

I should have also said, that it is a great tank, one of my favorite Tigers. The decals are a minor issue for me. Judging by Brian's quick response to this issue CS customer service matches their great products.

I would say I concur with this opinion. I was a little disappointed in the markings when I received the tank, but I am sure CS will take this feedback and make improvements. Overall, I love the tank and am happy to have bought it. CS is making such major improvements in all products now, and I will definitely be buying heavily into the Civil War line soon.

I also have the Panzer I from CS - another nice one (much better markings too, which surprised me even more since the Tiger was later).

As I have mentioned elsewhere in the forum, I have been well impressed with CS offerings and have purchased the Tiger which I really like. I have also recently purchased 14th Brooklyn figures and SS troopers from the Arnhem series and I believe them every bit the equal of KC figures. This is a line I will be purchasing more of in the future. Good product! -- lancer

Have to agree Lancer, the LAH figures are a definite improvement on previous releases,
particulaly like these the general and the reversible standard:cool:

The markings are fine on my winter Tiger. I am very pleased and looking forward to receiving my Winter Stug that has been pre-ordered.

Same here-love the Winter Tiger, can't wait for the StuG.
I mean, CAN'T WAIT (lol).

HI Y'all. My Marder III is just peachy keen no problems or issues at all.
I was really surprised it got home OK account the packaging looked like it had been dropkicked all the way from Chicago to San Diego, and it literally disinagrated in my hands as I unpacked it!
The Marder is a great addition to anyones collection and I highly recomend it.
O.C.:D

I'm hoping they'll offer out a 'winter' version of the Marder next year. Looks like a great vehicle.

I think they have a QC issue with the markings. I have the CS Horsch and the driver's helmet decals are on upside down, but the vehicle is outstanding. I will get the Stug.

I got the last Winter Tiger from the shop today. I read all this stuff and checked out my Tiger. There were no problems. I chose this tank because I liked it and it is a good value. The hatches open and close too. I plan to use it in a dio. There may be no resale value but that is the breaks. Like I said I bought it because I liked it. Winter Stug? I can hardley wait.

After seeing all three versions of the tiger in person today, I must say that I wasn't that impressed. The sculpting seemed rather boxy, just didn't look like a tiger should look. I own the KC Tunisian Tiger, and that beats out the CS version in all aspects hands down.
