This is just an appreciation of my modest Tiger tank collection. I have 6 1/30 Tiger tanks. There are 4 Tiger I's, 3 by KC and 1 by CS. There are 2 Kings, 1 each KC and CS. I think they are all terrific models. My oldest Tiger is WS25 by KC. It is an early KC Tiger I, ca.2001. It was my first Tiger, slightly smaller and cruder than the more recent offerrings, but great camo and a favorite still. The other Tigers all have great detail, camo schemes and are pretty much the same size, so they all display well together. My favorite Tiger I is a tie between 2 KC models, the Kursk Tiger and the Snow Tiger. Just plain wonderful in all aspects. My favorite KT is the new CS Porsche turret, Normandy camo with zimm. This is a superb rendering with the usual great detail from CS and a dark camo scheme I really like. I will be adding another CS KT, Henschel turret, no zimm, next month. I have just two small complaints about the CS models (and I do mean small). One is I do not care for the decals. They do not adhere to the zimm very well. In fact, I removed the German cross decals from the turret and handpainted them instead. The result is a "field applied" look that turned out quite well. The second is a suggestion more than complaint. I would like to see figures that actually stand in the hatches instead of sitting up on the hatch rim. The sitting figures just restrict options. All in all, I love my Tigers. As has been said before, "You can never have enough Tigers.".^&grin^&cool -- Al

Ahhh, the tiger.

I had WS25 and then sold it, then recently reacquired it. It is still my favorite and I cannot ever see me moving it from that spot.

I had 2 KC King Tigers, sold one and traded one for the CS one you are about to get. I do like it too but it looks slightly boxy.

I have actually owned more KT's than Tigers- go figure.

Question for you Al- if you had the hindsight to know that JJ was bringing out the WW1 airplanes, would you have passed on these Tigers to get those planes?

Hi Chris. To answer your question, I am currently collecting the JJD aircraft. The KT I purchase next month will be my last for a while, (suuuure it will:rolleyes2:). My purchases of the Tigers and aircraft have forced me to sell some stuff and to stop buying anything else related to them (figures, accessories, scenery). They are high ticket items, so after the last KT purchase, I will be focusing on the aircraft, strictly. I will try to fit a glossy KC figure or two, but that's an iffy thing right now. I even sold some of my military books to afford the cost of the Tigers and aircraft, but that double buying is all but done now. Now I just need KC and CS to stop making Tigers while I build my Fokker and Sopwith air force.^&grin -- Al

Was finally able to add a seventh (and last, for a while anyway:rolleyes2:) Tiger to my collection. Got the CS Henshel turret KT today. It is a great model. Tigers everywhere! -- Al
