Just been musing over some of the show photos over the past few years and kept being drawn back to the buildings and terrain pieces shackled together by David. Year in, year out he seems to come up with a grat variety of fantastic pieces at very reasonable prices.

December 2010 show:

Sammy's rather super Stalingrad piece:

Wait till you meet him in person. Absolute tyrant! :D
I'll happily co-pilot the wagon.

Well hoping he comes to the U.S. for a show, like the West Coaster:) I know, he can make me the dios and I'll take them to the shows for him:)...Sammy

Don't forget this piece...and yes he is incredibly talented...and on top of that he is very unselfish with his knowledge and his time...he is helping me do a project and seems so eager to assist...a very cool guy indeed!!!!:cool::cool::cool:

When I was taking most of these photos for the various show reports, it was mainly to capture the tanks, figures etc. Whilst appreciating the background terrain pieces, it wasn't until I started to trawl through the photos that I kept on coming up with more of David's stuff.

If you get the chance to own any of his work, I would recommend you jump at the chance. The attention to detail is exceptionally high, the price is exceptionally low.

I'm now off to turn a cardboard box in to Saddam's Palace for my Iraq War figures. Can't be that difficult.......

He is a very talented man.I wish he would post some pictures of his work that doesn't go to the shows.

He is incredibly modest about the quality of his stuff. I agree, I'd really like to see some of the other stuff that he gets done in between shows.

Good stuff Simon,
Needless to say but, I can't sing David's praises enough.
I know I've said it before but, he has this great ability to take what are at best basic outlines alongwith the sketchiest of diagrams and turn it into something meaningful, far exceeding my original hopes.
For instance on the rail dio I asked for a small crane to lift the tanks and a little water tower, look at what we got!1
On the Hartenstein he simply decided he wanted to do an interior with real wooden floor boards no less.
For those of you who look carefully on my stand at shows you'll see that even the (comparatively) basic boards have that "David" influence with a touch of water or a boulder or tuft of grass added for effect.
What I like most is when you ask him he will try and explain how to create an effect although usually finishing with the words " I don't know, it really justs comes together at the end".
Great stuff, great guy.
Regards
Clive

Amazing stuff really! I want that crusader wall!

Hi guys

Thank you for all the comments and posting all the photos.

You are right that I must post more photos of the stuff I do between shows. I make these models and dios full time so there is a alot more I can post.
We do have over 600 photos in the gallery on our web site so hopefully there is stuff there that will catch your eye.

I guess my new years resolution is to post more photos!
