I admire your discipline If you can control yourself to opening one or two boxes a day. However, I don't understand that, I would open them all at once and celebrate a grand finale.

We think a like, but what Jason does i admire a lot.
I am currently buying a lot of 'fill in' pieces for series i have and I think of them as reinforcements. So they are required ASAP.
My ritual, bit like when the Japanese serve Tea, it has to be done right.
Take out the delivery box, put them all on the boxes they come in, check they are OK.
Place them in the collection, for K & C sets i also hand write a K & C number on a very small sticky label and put it on the base [so it will be easier to pack them away when required].
Is it a bit over the top that i have seperate boxes in my attic where i store the empty boxes? Such as a seperate box for JJD Saxons, Viking, Jacobites, Trojans and Greeks. While i spilt my K & C collection into seperate boxes, AK, EA, RAF, Luft, DDBritish, DDFrench, DDUSA, WH, WSS, etc.
Not forgetting ensuring i have logged them in my excel TS document, as well as my paper record [need book to take to shows so i do not duplicate buying stuff].
After which i have a look round the K & C and JJD websites to see what is next.
