Did everyone see that the FBI and NFL Security have FOUND Tom Brady's SB49 and SB51 shirts!

Yep, seems that a "FAKE" media correspondent from Mexico is seen of video entering the Patriots locker room behind Bill carrying one bag, but left with TWO.
The FBI went to Mexico and recovered the shirts, which are now in BOSTON FBI headquarters. They have verified that they are Tom's.

The guy (name is now listed on news web) is going to be charged with FEDERAL charges, possibly including a terrorism charge since he falseified his credentials to enter a securer location to perpetrate a crime.

The value of the two shirts have been listed as 1 Million dollars.

In addition they found SB50 Von Miller,s helmet and cleats as well as other NFL material.

I would love to know how they tracked him down.

Houston police were bragging on the news how they helped solve the case...
claiming they wanted no blemishes on Texas in hosting the SB...
good job though...
hope they bust his butt royally...

Maybe they will find Jimmy Hoffa or DB Cooper next.

See, Trump was right!

THIS is why we need to build a wall across the Mexican boarder, so they won't steal Tom Brady's Superbowl LII and LIII shirts again ...^&grin

Great News:rolleyes2:....The FBI found Tom's jersey:rolleyes2:....Great use of taxpayer dollars........gee I hope the sweat wasn't washed off in laundry detergent because then it would likely be worth much less then $500,000....WHAT A JOKE.....SICK

The guy probably got caught by posting pics of them on a jersey forum. Someone responded that the jerseys were the wrong size, someone else responded that Adidas made better ones and before long the authorities were involved.

The listed value of ONE of the shirts is $500,000

Say this man stole a lesser known Van Gogh - would you feel the same way?

Take out the feelings from what it was that was stolen and use the value - that is a major crime!

If it was your property you wouldn't think it was a joke.

It's is a joke my property or not.....The FBI looking for a football jersey???....Give me a break.....The FBI should be looking for criminals and drug dealers......Searching for stolen a football jersey is a WASTE OF TAX PAYER DOLLARS......We have some real problems in this country that require attention....A sweaty football jersey is just that...a sweaty jersey.... GET REAL...Oh and If that jersey is worth $500,000 then his sweaty jock strap must be worth at least $600,000...:wink2:

much like we collect toy soldiers, there is a huge sports memorabilia world out there and game used Super Bowl items especially from the MVP are quite highly valued. Worth to you or me is not the market. It is just like rare toy soldiers on ebay, they are worth what someone is willing to pay on that day.

As to the FBI - regardless of what agency, theft is theft and when it involves highly valuable goods, they have divisions that pursue these crimes. The FBI has been investigating stolen art since its inception. This is no different. We recently in Maryland have a sports dealer who is going to jail federally for selling stolen goods as well as forgeries. Its a federal crime, therefore, FBI.

How is Tom Brady's jersey and different than any other memorabilia? If Abe Lincoln's hat was stolen from the Smithsonian, would you say, eh...it's a hat, who cares, the FBI has better things to do?
Memorabilia means different things to different people. A huge sports fan might pay more for that jersey then they would for napoleons favorite sword

Not when it's deflated ;)

You got that right^&grin:salute::.....I still think that the FBI searching for a football jersey is a RIDICULOUS waste of tax payer dollars.....and this just goes to show just how far out of wack our common sense and priorities have become in this country.....We have so many more important and serious issues for our government agencies to address....A VERY SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS INDEED.

I want to see your comments if god forbid your house was robbed. I'm sure you'd agree that we shouldn't spend funds then????

I wonder what Mean Joe Greene's jersey was worth? :D

Prost!
Brad

STILL The best commercial ever! Not to digress, but a recent Steelers commentary - he is still considered the best ever for the Steelers - even beat out Jack Lambert. I loved Lambert as a kid, but Mean Joe is still tops and always will be. He is first class all the way and is a true human - saw his latest documentary on ESPN - first class guy. That commercial is more true to to the man rather than the Mean Joe persona! Now, as for the unfortunate soul who line up against him on game day............................

PLEASE ....GET REAL......We have all lost and had things stolen:rolleyes2:......But this news story more importantly shows that we have lost COMMON SENSE........USE SOME COMMON SENSE.....The fact that the FBI are focusing on a silly football jersey is a WASTE OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS......Tom can afford to buy another jersey and sign it:rolleyes2:.... The fact that this story makes 'NEWS" is also just as RIDICULOUS......The FBI....A FEDERAL AGENCY.... has more important and SERIOUS ISSUES to address then looking for Tom Brady's football jersey.......E-nuff said

I understand why the FBI had jurisdiction to investigate this matter but there is a significant difference between a jersey and a piece of art; the FBI has an art theft program, by the way.

I think this is more a question of what people seem to value in this society rather than a question of whether the FBI should have been involved. That people seem more concerned with a piece of cloth (based upon the attention this case has garnered) than theft of artworks (which often get relegated to the arts section of the newspapers) is a sad commentary on today's society.

I recognize that memorabilia is a big business but it's not one I hold in high regard. For example, just in the NY metro area, the Yankees will do anything to profit from so called memorabilia and how many ads do we see urging us to buy a so called "limited" bat or football. It's a business made up of hucksters. PT Barnum would have approved.

Brad, for me, personally, I am in full agreement. A master work of art is infinitely more important.
You'll notice there weren't many resources spent to find the other stolen jersey. This one is something no one has ever done. It is the fifth Super Bowl win jersey. This isn't a random game used jersey. In our society, inner with a poll, that jersey is a bigger deal than the stolen garner museum paintings. I don't agree but bet it's true. Just look at the money sports make versus museums.
I just want to be clear.... I am in full agreement that art is more important on every level. I just think the FBI getting involved is a ok and defendable in book.
