with apologies for the blurriness,ob

Love the Black Robe. Is the Jacobite really an Aussie conversion or on steroids? :D

've been trying to snap a good shot of the Jesuit-this DOESN'T do him justice at all.As for the Jacobite,I spose he could be an Aussie...but he lacks transportation:rolleyes:ob

This one's for Wade Pat -the only example of TA's Northwest Indians I own  Best,John

Hi John,

Thanks for the thoughtful post! I have wanted to see some of these figures for several months. The Northwest Indiians is a very interesting line of figures. The Whaler is a wonderful example of the different figures that are available. If you like glossy figures, and I do, TA is hard to beat!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Wow I really like the Jacobites but the NW Indian Whaler is over the top. Where are you finding these beauties these days? Thanks for posting them and for making me want yet another line...

All the best

Dave

Enjoying a trick surely dating back to within a few hours of the moment the first drone was tied into a bag, Duglas amuses himself by "tipping" brother Calum's outer tenor drone open and closed...

John,

:D:D:D Yes - very good!

There is a lot of work going into painting these figures, very nicely finished.

Another wonderful set. You have certainly sparked enthusiasm about Tommy Atkins on the forum/

Great collection, OldBoy, and some clever staging in your pics! As another glossy toy soldier fan, and a fan of periods other than WWII/Napoleonic Wars/Zulu War, I really enjoy following this thread.

Prosit!

I'm especially pleased to hear from theBaron. It has been weighing on me that I owe theBaron a public apology for a churlish post of mine in another forum, and as the offense was public,so should be the apology, you are,Brad,a Gentleman of the very best tradition, courteous, upliftingly positive, erudite & invaluably eager to assist your fellow forum members with your scholarship and expertise, and I'm relieved to be able to beg your pardon for my horrid & undeserved tantrum. John
Mercy :D that feels better. And now for more childish behaviour of a more pleasant variety.....

I'll say OB!
What a tremendous backdrop! I am, of course, still partial to your JG waterfall, but the whole set-up is merged into a wonderful photo via that backdrop! And what's that Lenape doing in the water? I thought they were afraid of water:eek:
Great stuff!
Mike

Hey oldboy, great pics, i am limited to the french and indian war as far as tommy atkins figures go. They have great style and your pictures really bring out the beauty. Thanks

Yes ! Luckily,I've a Neice who sends me calenders from OR- Columbia Gorge,a profoundly beautiful place . I'm thinking of obtaining by buying (shudder) or building more scenic bases-especially as this one is in EVERY shot I take ! 've begun referring to it as the headwaters of the Ubiquitous River.
The Lenape is skateboarding :) prior to 1789 skateboards were nearly always rectangular, amphibious & green ;) John

Hawkeye -oh goody:D,will you be so kind as to post some pics here ? I'd be very pleased to see them & an oldboy does need a day off from time to time.:)John

Hi, John, ach was, Mensch!, please, nothing to apologize, ist nix, I don't even know what you're talking about! As my Forumbruder, I'm equally honored to be here with you. And there's a beer waiting here for you, if you ever find yourself out this way. In fact, I'm enjoying one now, prosit!

You could do this for me, though--do you use a fixed backdrop and take the photo in front of it, or are you using some software package to place the immediate shots into a backdrop? I'm thinking about starting the e-diorama crowd, and I'm looking for tips/hints/advice.

Noch amal, prosit!
Brad
