Well, here is a tough one as I can't figure it out and I thought I have seen nearly every figure once. Anyhow, any ideas on these 2? No marking on the base, well painted by someone who knew what they were doing, definitely not one offs and at first I thought maybe Bob Hornung, but they are Matte and I think all of his are gloss.

Hi Tom

Those are interesting to be sure I am not sure of the civilian figures and dont have any references that cover them so I hope Brad can pull the rabbit out of his hat.

If metal, they are recasts from zmxreissuejun.jpgvintage-1960s-marx-daktari-jungle_1_b941d784456ced84f67ccb068f11d722.jpgDaktari.jpegMarx Daktari playset figures. They are originally plastic, and unpainted.

Even though I have no stake in this thread (nor do I have any knowledge to share), I have really enjoyed following it.

As I have mentioned in the past, one of my greatest “old toy soldier” memories was exploring the Westcoaster showroom floor with Tom as he pointed out the make, manufacturer and often the year of toy soldiers we saw at different dealer’s displays.
