Looking at this thread it seems that a good percentage of collectors would like to see something in the "military train" area.

I would imagine the production and freight costs would be relatively high making it more suitable as a limited edition range similar to the K & C warbirds.

In my quest for a kreigslokomotive came across a 1/35 finished model of a BR-52, I think it goes great with K&C , so far have the train and coal car and one flat bed , will post some pictures when I get a chance ,
I think it draws all the K&C stuff together in a great way , and makes for great diorama's:)

Then again the recent Elephant didn't weigh much, so maybe a polystone locomotive, tender etc could be produced at a reasonable price allowing for a production run in the hundreds - I sure hope so.

Anyway, for those that don't want any train models, just vote "Don't care" rather than "No" - ok ;)

This hobby is called Toy soldiers. Not model trains or model aeroplanes. I think enough is enough.

Too right Damien, unbelievers who have strayed onto the train tracks and runways, cast them out I say, a stoning is too good for them

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" (II Corinthians 6:14)

It is my dream to build a huge 1/72 scale diorama of a local ACW battle and incorporate trains as they were used at that time.

Toy soldiers and trains have a long associated history, it's no coincidence that 1 gauge and the standard toy soldier scale are both 1/32.

I say bring on the chuffer trains for those that want em. For those not interested, buying them is optional, same as the limited warbirds.

Yo Trooper Damian, does that mean we can't have Lord Cardigans yacht in the harbour at Balaklava lol.

It would look very cool especially carrying weapons, tanks, missles, and especially troops.

I have only had a few cheap train sets, which I ran to death on the Holidays, but I always thought they were fun. The large set ups are great to look at. Military trains would be a very facinating new venue. If a set or two was issued over time, so I could keep up financially, I would probably go for it and put it up on the holidays at least. Would have to work with 54mm figures though.

I almost forgot Timpo made 2 trains one was western themed the other was military. The do come up on ebay occasionally.
