Model soldiers. I recognize the Andrea Samurai archer 1/32 scale in the centre middle row, giving you an idea of the size of all the figures.

yeah unlucky Victor everything was closed over Christmas here in London.

The Royal Armoury in Picadilly is wonderful but you cant see much from the window. here is an old picture I found of one of their dioramas inside. I will visit them next week and take some more so you can all see what they sell - K&C, TG, WB.

Cheers,

Stefan

Another toy soldier shop Au plat d'Etain (near the NotreDame) in Paris. Smaller than the Louvre one but also packed with figures. This has some boxed dioramas.

Final pics of the lot. I am posting the images here as I suspect that these displays get changed very quickly and it is unlikely that we will see many of these vintage and unusual figures in the same context again. So Enjoy!!

Victor,

thanks for posting so many images of the toy soldier shops/museums in Paris, its brought back fond memories of a few trips to that city in the past 10 years, and hopefully many more :)

Hahaha. Surely they survive based on footfall. When I was at both shops, there were buyers yanks and Europeans buying some of these painted figures, mostly the fancier sets

Hi Matt,

Yes I did! Just reveling in among the displays was great!
