Not only was the P-47 a formidable escort and dogfighting fighter, it was also an awesome ground attack airplane destroying thousands of German targets including vehicles/trains/planes on the ground during WWII. In this scene is K&C AF002 pilot along with DD049 truck in the background, and a 21st Century P-47D in the paint scheme of "Evie" from the 510th Fighter Squadron of the 405th Fighter Group, piloted by Lt. George W. Orange.

Thanks cnq.

Thanks Al. The 21st C. model of the Jug is really a nice one by them. I just did some weathering to it to customize it and also fixed the kill flag to a swastika instead of an "x" as 21st C. wouldn't put swastikas on their models.

Thanks Guy. Yeah, that last picture has kind of a grainy look to it maybe making it more authentic looking? Thanks for the comment.

That last picture is fantastic. The perspective is just right. You can imagine the photographer kneeling to take the shot.

Duke:

Nice looking model and figures. The aircraft goes well with the pilot and accessories. Thanks for posting the pictures. John

Great shots Duke. The Jug had to be one of the best all purpose planes of the war. I have the yellow nosed version by 21st Century... great model.

Nice shots of a nice display.
The best pictures are (IMO) the ones from the ground level. You can actually imagine yourself holding the camera and saying …”Come on George, smile, say CHEEZZ”

Great shots! Can`t tell the scale difference. I`ve seen plenty of 21st century P-47`s, but first time I saw this version of 21st. jug and in my opinion the best I`ve seen so far.

Thanks. Yes I believe 21st C. made 8 versions of the 1/32 P-47 and this was the last version released.

Nice shots of a nice display.

Thanks Larry. Here are a couple more photos from the photo shoot from "ground level" that I didn't post the first time around.

Thanks. Yes the Jug was a vital airplane to the Allies and very versatile in roles it could perform.

Good stuff! I've said it before but if K&C make an aluminum coloured American warbird I'm all in with accompanying USAAF groundcrew! ^&cool

Thanks. I agree that K&C should do an aluminum US warbird. I think it would do very well for them.
