Every year we at Treefrog Treasures team up with Sierra Toy Soldier Company & Troops of Time at the Chicago Show to honor our customers with a fun-filled evening of toy soldiers and great food at our Customer Appreciation Dinner.

Since this is a customer appreciation event, of course it is meant specifically for our customers and is not open to the general collecting public or other dealers.
If you have ordered from us in the past year, you are definitely considered a customer and we hope you will be able to attend! (In order to avoid confusion please order your tickets from your own specific dealer, or if you buy from more than one of us, from one you have ordered from in the past year.)

This year is the Sesquicentennial Anniversary of the American Civil War as well as W. Britain's 120th Anniversary. Since the American Civil War is one of W. Britain's strongest ranges, what better time to give W. Britain the spotlight and have an ACW theme?
To commemorate the sesquicentennial and celebrate W. Britain's anniversary we have some great things planned! ACW re-enactors from the Wisconsin Civil War Museum will be on hand to talk about their uniforms and equipment and we will be sending each guest home with a special W. Britain ACW figure uniquely painted for our dinner event.
Ken Osen, new general manager of W. Britain will be our guest of honor and the evening's speaker. I'm sure you are eager to hear his plans for the direction of the W. Britain company and he is also an ACW expert in his own right so he will have much to talk about.
This will be the only Britain's event at the show and is a unique opportunity for you to discuss current releases, future plans, and of course provide input on next year's catalog.

The Bahama Breeze, located just minutes from the Hyatt has been a fantastic venue and we will hold our event there again this year, Friday night from 5-8.
Space is limited and tickets sell out quickly so if you are planning to attend, call or email your dealer and reserve your ticket ASAP. Tickets will not be sold online since this event is not open to the general public but to our (very appreciated!) customers.
Tickets are $40.00 (payable at the time the reservation is made) and you may pick up your ticket in your dealer's room prior to the dinner or at the dinner if you are coming straight there. Please provide the name of each guest you wish to bring as well as the ages & gender of any children in attendance.
We ran out of room a bit last year so we may cap the attendance a little tighter this year to ensure everyone can get a table in the main room and be able to hear the program.

This is a great chance for us to spend time with our customers and for our customers to mingle with fellow collectors, meet the W. Britain's team and chat with us!

Hope to see you there!

(We are sorry but we are unable to provide tickets for people not in attendance who would like the dinner figure, nor can we sell these pieces, as they are generously provided by W. Britain specifically for event attendees.)

If you can't attend this year we hope to see you next year!

Hello all,
I hope to see many familiar faces at the customer appreciation evening event. Ericka and I will be hand painting some unique dinner figures for this event and will be posting some pictures here as soon as we are able to get them wrapped up.
We will also try to post some images of the one of a kind conversions figures and the PP samples we will have there for the silent auction.

The next 8 months or so will see the unveiling of new ranges and revisiting some old ones in depth, so this will be your chance to ask questions and hear about new developments here at W. Britain/First Gear!
All the best,
Ken Osen

My understanding is that it will not be, at least in any official capacity.

Brad

Will K&C be represented at this years dinner event?
Hi HB120050,
Sorry I missed your question until now.

Brad is correct. This year will be a W. Britain fest to celebrate their 120th Anniversary so only Ken Osen, new general manager and creative director of Britains will be speaking, however door prizes from a variety of manufacturers will be given away throughout the evening, donated by the hosts, including some sets/figures made by King & Country.

Note to all forum members attending the Chicago Show:
If you are a current customer of one of the hosts, there are still some seats available, but we are getting close to the date the restaurant needs a final headcount. If you want to attend and haven't yet purchased your ticket, don't delay.
This should be a great evening and we look forward to spending time with our customers!

I second that. Even if you're not a Britains or ACW fan, Ken really knows Civil War and has a very infectious personality. Any event with Ken is worth attending.

I very much agree with that.
The "Bahama Breeze" is a great location for this event.
And I'm looking forward to hearing Ken Osen.
Will be the first time I meet him, since he took over the rudder of Britains from Richard Walker.

Won't be long anymore. The two-week mark is already passed ^&grin
