Good morning, all! I come bringing exciting news from Treefrog Treasures. Next week we're picking up and moving the whole shop to Rochester, MN!

If you've ever been up our way, you'd know that Eyota is a small town about 15 miles from Rochester. Treefrog moved there in 2003 when I became the pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in town. Even after my work shifted (I'm now an assistant to the bishop with an office in Rochester), it made sense to keep things in Eyota since I still lived there. Julie, Aron, and Jeff all have commuted from Rochester.

Well, last summer I also moved to Rochester. Having everyone have to drive to Eyota doesn't make a lot of sense, so we're bringing things closer to home.

Next week will bring much joy and frivolity as we pack up our warehouse and move it to a new location. We're going to do the best that we can with getting packages out in the midst of the move. The official date in the new place will be December 28th.

The phone numbers and e-mails stay the same. You will just have a new mailing address (for those who like to mail things):

2416 East River Road NE
Rochester, MN 55906

Moving...in Minnesota...in December. Sounds like fun!

Here an idea: major moving sale - less to move!

Good luck.

Hey Pete, Julie and T.F staff ..... Merry Christmas and have a safe and successful move ..{sm4}

If you want to send all the K&C USMC sets and JN sets out here to Waldoboro, for safe keeping during the move, ... I won't mind.
Of course, getting them back is another issue. ..:p

Might also be a time for some Spring cleaning as you discover all those dusty hidden treasures tucked away in the back of the warehouse. Hope all goes smoothly and you and your team also get to enjoy the festive season. Robin.

Isn’t this in connection with the sale of Treefrog Treasures to Julie?

I’m not sure what that means Pete. If the transaction (which reportedly doesn’t include the Eyota facility) hasn’t yet closed or won’t close by December 31, why carry out the move (which is a tremendous undertaking) in the middle of the Christmas season.

I'm not sure there's too much to read into it. It's been public that we're working towards Julie buying Treefrog. I own the building in Eyota separately (which is why it's on the market).

This is when it seemed to work best for all parties to make the move. The place in Rochester is available now.

As a company that focuses so much on shipping, the Christmas season winds down a bit early (we don't have Christmas Eve shoppers!).

Speaking for Jeff, Aron and myself here - we are BEYOND EXCITED to not have to commute 20-30 minutes out here every day. For all 3 of us, the new place is 3-5 miles away from our current homes and this will all work much better for us.
As a group, the 4 of us have made the decisions on what is best and easiest for us to make the move.
Not sure why it would matter if we move December 27th and 28th or January 5th and 6th?
Jeff, Aron & I have been working on having the new location all set up with shelves already so next week it is literally moving product, shipping supplies and computers.

Julie

Thanks for the explanation Pete. Are the servers for both the shopping site and Forum part of this move or are they held in different locations.

The servers for the forum and website are hosted in Florida, so there will be no issues at all with that.

I hope the move goes smooth. Merry Christmas to all at Treefrog!

Joe

If it’s not the servers, what am I carrying here through the snow saying „Julie“ on it?

Will you have a showroom with cabinets for displays in the new place just in case some of us happen to be in the area at some point? A real brick and mortar comeback...!! ^&grin

Pete...
enjoyed the way you and Shannon took care of the website for us...
thank you for that...

and Julie...
I wish you the best of luck...

I dream of a 20-30 minute commute as I drive 55 minutes one way every day. :wink2: Still, does leave lots of time for audio books. {sm4} Chris
