Trench sections (2 Viewers)

I have 9 of WBritain's WWI allied trench sections. This is how I have arranged them. Hope this helps.

Great diorama....I recall when Britains offered them....And I even considered buying , but my purist better side talked me away from it....The army/artillery branch would never have postioned a piece of artillery ( especially a field gun - who´s elevation was not very high, and was used for flat fire tragectories and even better so with open slits...so really flat firing ) at a front line trench...the firing from that postion dug in would be inneficient to the best, especially as it is dug in....Now were it be a howitzer it would have been a stretch in artistic licensing...but one would say, well it has a higher elevation hence indirect couter battery fire would be ok...then the only question left to the mortals like us is to ask how on earth was the artillery piece brought into that position...The same series had a German offering, and in that one they offered a heavy mortar in a trench set up...much closer to the real thing....

Mike, always wondered how they went together. I bought some pieces to be used in a WW2 diorama I have been working on and converted them to be used as an anti-aircraft battery. I attached a few images of that section of the diorama. Chris

Very well done Chris. Also, your photos showed quite an amazing array in the background. You have an amazing looking collection.

By the way, if there is any interest in the trench sections I have, please let me know. I've decided to downsize my collection due to space restraints for newer interests. All of my WB WWI sets are available and for sale.
