View attachment 79858 Earlier I posted a photo of ACW23ELT of Tom Burney of Terry's Texas Rangers with his fallen horse. This is a single figure of Tom Burney plus ACW72TT-"Ol Douglas", Confederate Camel and handler Edward Whittington-all Trophy of Texas exclusives.

Thanks Martyn. You may recall before the Civil War, Jefferson Davis was Secretary of War and imported camels as an experiment to see how they would adapt and aid in the American West. The war started and the camels were turned loose. There were camel sightings for years after the war. There was speculation that "Ol Douglas" was one of those or from a circus.

Aren't those Citadel? Guess you kept a few :smile2:
Hi Brad
Nearly right, but not quite
They are from the very limited WEST POINT range that Trophy produced back in the early '90's. All my Citadel have gone to one new home^&grin
Al (boerboy) knows all about these highly desirable sets

And safely there and still much appreciated Martyn.
