I've always loved Trophy hand to hand sets - they really work together well in dioramas.

I do to Louis and they've play a major roll in my telling the story of The Zulu War. Hope your weekend turns out a lot better than your week....The Lt.

Really nice. I always thought Trophy WWI stuff looked great. The vehicles were always a bit expensive for my taste, but top notch quality.

Those are great figures. The Zulu War stuff is excellent and teh WWI stuff as well. I really think that the Premier stuff was alos fanatstic and it does fit in well with the Trophy stuff. I am not sure whether it is a good or bad omen but SA is locked in mortal combat with Australia tomorrow at the cricket world cup on ANZAC day. Our chaps will have to just remember Delville Wood and the 1999 semi-final for inspiration.

Louis I agree on the cost ,but I found a website that still
has a fair amount of ww 1 sets in stock and they make some
realy unique sets ,so as they say a fool and his money are soon
parted.

Damian good luck against Australia ,we have just self destructed
against Sri Lanka so our world cup is over[not like the NZ cricket
team to do that].I think they realy missed Lou Vincent at the top
of the order.

I haven't been able to log onto the BBC website so I did not know the result if NZ vs Siri Lanka. I hope we can beat Australia and then we can settle things with Siri Lanka. I know it is wrong to say Hail Marys for something as trivial as sport but surely just this once....
On a more serious note where did you get hold of the Trophy stuff
Regards
Damian

It's nice seeing someone else posting trophy figures. MKL Models in their Traditional Toy Soldier Catalogue Feature 25 pages of what Trophy had to offer. They no longer feature Trophy on their web site but will provide info on what they still have ininventory......The Lt.

Thanks Lt ,I have realy enjoyed looking at your Zulu war collection,
its not an area I currently collect, but hope one day to add some
sets to my collection.
Regards Rob

I have four of the hand to hand series that my father bought me fifteen years ago. Managed to hang on to them.:D

I agree mate. It makes you want to cry. We will wait for the rugby to get our revenge on the Aussies as I am sure your Boys in Black want to as well
Damian

Even if the All Blacks have a good world cup this year
they are going to suffer a bit in the coming couple of
years the list of players leaving to europe to play after
the cup seems to be ever growing.
[But hey if we win who cares what happens for a year or 2
afterwards].

Thought I'd add a few more photos of my Trophy Collection. The photos are featuring Hand to Hand Sets 11, 12 and 13......The Lt.

Hi KV,

The list I have shows 18 Hand To Hand sets for the Zulu War series with another 13-15 Batle Dioramas if you include the Hospital and Store House. They also did a ton of Zulus and other troops.

Great line that I hope comes back again

All the best

Dave
