Many thanks Robin, I thought it was about time some life was breathed into the AZW thread^&grin :salute::

All the best

Today is the 140th Anniversary of the battle of Isandlwana and the Defence of the mission station at Rorke’s Drift.
I have posted several of these pictures before but thought I would post them today in a comic book effect. This format was introduced to me by Joe Quintini (The Lt) who sadly passed away back in December 2013 and I would like to dedicate this series of pictures to my mate Joe.

The camp at Isandlwana is over run very quickly

Ammunition is low and drummer boys try to get fresh supplies to the beleaguered troops in the line

But Quartermaster Edward Bloomfield refuses ammo to the Natal Native Horse telling them to collect their ammo from their own supplies

Lieutenant-Colonel Anthony William Durnford and his Natal Native Horse are overrun

Finally an attempt is made to save the Colours

Martyn, have you ever put the four wagon sets together in one setting ( Durnfords last stand, the Quartermaster Says No, Incident At Isandlwhana and The Spears are Washed) diarama?

Jim

Hi Jim

Come to think of it I don't think I have but it's a good idea for a future dio :salute::

In the meantime here are a couple of pictures featuring another BD set "Butcher of Isandlwana". The pictures include a couple of WB tents.

Lovely colourful selection of figure's Martyn. Zulu is one of my favourite series. Robin.

Mind you that's a decent axe he is carrying, definitely him or me scenario. Great figures. Robin.
