I received Mine today (Wednesday), And again Figarti, has done a great job.!! It is not as heavily weathered as the British Priest, So I really love it!!.
This particular piece is pretty light though (it scared me enough, that I thought I got sent the wrong piece/item) Not a whole lot of metal on this piece, And Because of that. It might be a little fragile. So if you want to display it, display it!!. But if you do take it out. with the intention of putting it back, you will sweat a little bit if you put it back into the box. So beware. But overall, It is worth the price. And Now I have An 88. REALLY COOL!! LOVE IT!!
 
I also just opened my 88 last night, no damage either. I think Figarti has got it right.
But here is my question, I thought it was an Afrika Korp 88, but the box says European Theatre, plus the figures have a camo style uniform. Not being a uniform expert, I didn,t think these uniforms were worn in Afrika. Is this supposed to be from the Italy campaign? And could this mean an upcoming Monte Cassino line?

Figarti, to my knowledge, never actually said that this was for the Desert theatre and there have been a few hints here and there that some of the things they have been making are for the Italian campaign.

After all, K & C hasn't done anything except for the recent FJs, which could be used for this, so why not try a line that K & C hasn't done so far?

The Texas Special M7 Priest is from the Italy campaign. And the tropical 88 is more in line with Italy, Greece and possibly the south Caucases.

I was kinda wondering about the same too, one helmet is sand color, the second one more of a fiekd gray??. And the camo is throwing me off too.
 
I know there are some German uniform experts that can solve this question of the century!

Rick tells me the "RMA" code is "Road to Rome Alllies" and "RMG" is "Road to Rome Germans." Carlos mentioned on another thread that Figarti's Italian Theater stuff has not been heavily promoted and has flown under the radar of many collectors.:)

Shouldn't it be Road FromRome Germans. :D

Those of you who received your Tropical 88 already, who did you order from? Rick first posted the pictures on the evening of August 31st and I placed my preorder first thing in the morning on September 1st. Yet, I still haven't received mine.
 
Where did you order yours??, Mine was part of the shipment that was sent to hobby bunker that was dispersed through the dealers, in the Chicago show.
and my dealer sent me the invoice for it 9 days ago. paid for it Sunday, Got it wednesday.
 
Does anyone know when the others will be released,those not through the show?There is some more being made i hope..............:eek:
 
As far as I can gather from my dealer, The U.S. priest is coming next week or the following week. So it should be in that shipment too.with the primemover and the stuka. If you have not ordered it. You might try Sierra toy soldiers. they might be able to fill your order. I ordered mine through another dealer. but sierra is as great as them.

Its the calm,;) before the onslaught of new releases :eek::D, And bye bye money!!, LOL
 
Did anyone get any info at Chicago on more of the 88 and sled versions to be released???
 
I hope that Rick, makes Some German figures to add to the 88, some support pieces. Like the one for the U.S. Priest. So My future diorama, Will have more pieces into it.
