Gebs,

Congratulations to these great figures. They look superb. Really, really good!
That will be the Cavalry Charge of the year for me :smile2:
Am going to place an order for the first figure next week, the one with the red flag.

Did you not get the Commander as well?
I always like to see the collectors photos of figures here beside the promotional ones from the mfr.

Great job, Matt and the First Legion staff {bravo}}

Konrad

Very Nice......Superb paint and detail.....Gebs Question: are the wings removable or fixed in position ....Thank You Frank

Hi Frank,

The wings are fixed, the only thing not fixed was the Standard. On both figures the standard was packaged separately. regards Gebhard

Hi Konrad,

I haven't ordered the Grand Hetman yet. When these were released I was already way over my Hobby budget for January. luckily next week starts a new month so they wont have too long to wait for the Grand Hetmans arrival :wink2:. regards Gebhard

Ordered all three from Treefrog today at 'free shipping' - anyone know how long that may be to Hong Kong once the figures become available?

I hope someone can answer this for you, but if not. Do let us know, for future information. Thanks. And enjoy, it will be great pieces to have.
And hopefully we will get more pieces to accompany these, next month.

WWII is the era that I collect, but these figures are fantastic! I was in Krakow in the Fall and was surprised not to see more local recreations of the Winged Hussars. Like the Australian Light Horse figures K&C did, these tempt me to stray from my main collecting genre. Massing a few of these figs could make a great scene!

The first two arrived friday, and I really can't say enough about the quality of these figures. It's been a long journey from box art to production but well worth the wait. Looking forward to the next batch. Just beautful figures, hats off to First Legion. regards Gebhard

Congrats Gebs on your fine new sets!!!!!!! I do not have any high end Russian sets of any Era but I would certainly put the new Winged Hussars up against most any brand in quality, painting and overall detail, congrats again on these wonderful sets and look forward to seeing your next addition to this range.

Mine, did arrive Tuesday. And can not get over on how great it looks, it is worth every penny.
Tonight I was just wondering on how many other Polish winged Lancers we are going to see. So I looked at the code number, it is Tyw-05, and the next one is coded Tyw-14. A space of ,8 spots, Does this mean that we will have 8 more Winged Lancers in the future, all I can say is YEY!!, and a little bit of an ouch, on the pocket for to complete the whole winged cavalry, I really have to save up.
I am also getting the other standard bearer, that I am getting this week.

According to the First Legion web site, the Hussars are 5a and 5b. The Tercio then starts at 15. Between 6 and 14, then, we may see a combination of more Hussars and Turks or, maybe not!

These 3-fellas have been stuck at Hong Kong airport for three days - in desperate to take pictures.

I received the Second Standard Bearer today, I can not stop grinning, I really like the two Standard Bearers they really look great. I would have been tempted to get the Hetman if he had a Sword, but he did not... So hopefully there will be some reinforcements to complete the set, coming next.
Of course I would not mind seeing some Ottoman pieces to go against the Winged Lancers either, I will be concentrating on this side, getting as much as I can until the Normandy Armour shows up on the WWII front.

Took a lot of time before they arrived to European dealer and next to me.
Finally can join the battle on left flank.

I'm very surprized that wings are fixed not removable. This will make them much easier to get damaged, what is well known problem with winged hussars figures...

Got mine last week and they are beauties. For those who didn't get the fella without the flag because, well he doesn't have a flag, you've missed out on the best one 😏

I probably will regret not getting the Hetman.... But not as much as getting one less of the forth coming lancers, for me to get the Hetman, I will always think that I could have another Lancer. The more of the lancers the better, they already have the Standard Bearers leading them...
And I just can not see the Hetman as the best of the Three......

From a quality of sculpt and paintwork, the Herman is the best for me. However everyone's preferences are different.

I'm glad I have all three but of course if only two then we are sort of forced to get the standards.

Here is mine. I'm waiting to see how the range develops before getting the others.

Looks Great doesn't it?. I really hope that Matt, really gets into this line. Including the Ottomans. And that he does not wait too long adding pieces.

These guys were shown in 2015 with the Winged Hussars:
