TYW004-005a/b Polish Winged Hussars (1 Viewer)

Hopefully. I'm hoping for a vignette of a Hussar fighting a Turk, similar to one of Zach's pieces.
 
Can hardly wait, for the next releases for this line to come out. I have always liked, the lancers. Especially the Red Lancers for the Napoleonic war, and now this one. And of course I have to get some opponents to fight them. This just might be the year, for me to get heavy again in this hobby.
 
I guess the stock for the Winged Lancers Standard Bearers, at First Legions Web site, is sold out. For the sake of other collectors that has not gotten it yet, I hope they made more.
And if it does get stocked again, do not wait for to long collectors......
 
I wonder if that means that no more are going to be made. If so, they were obviously very popular with collectors.
 
My guess is they will do another run at least for both the Sigismund Grand Standard, And the Regular Standard. after that just the regular standard would be made. the interest has just started for these pieces. Cutting off both Standards now would be premature, and might counter the interest. especially since the opponents for these Winged Hussars has not even come out yet.
 
I seem to remember reading that the release size of these two standard bearers was going to be half the normal size run, but if the picture is still up on their site I'd say more are on the way. The usual way it goes is that once the picture disappears so does the figure or ATV for that matter.

Not to scare anyone who wants these figures, but I wouldn't wait too long. I'd even send an email to FL or check with the dealers who may have them in stock, they are just that good and will be talked about long after they are gone as the one that got away. regards Gebhard

I Agree....If this range is to get "well off the ground" and keep collectors interest alive in this new series it would be best to make these available.....It would be premature to discontinue these figures.......Although this subject has only limited interest for me...I know that I and many others would not collect a series without the flag-bearers being available.....It brings interest and stimulus to a halt for many collectors for a new series if flag-bearers cannot be purchased ...... Collectors who would otherwise get into a historical era will not consider the range without flag-bearers....Thus future sales for that particular range will slow down dramatically unless another figure of interest re-invigorates new interest.

My first Hussar arrived today and it is outstanding. Just love the craftsmanship. I got TYW005b Polish Winged Hussar Battle Standard Bearer and it is beautiful.

Will try to take pictures tomorrow.
 
Yep, they really look great. Can hardly wait for me to get more of their pieces, I am planning to have six or more.
 
For those wanting 005b, the inventory at FL is down to 1. When I checked yesterday it was down to 2 so I ordered one.

If you want it, don't delay! Treefrog has it in stock but they're down to 1, also.

The other Hussars seem in plentiful supply but it doesn't hurt to check from time to time.

How do you check quantity?

I only need 009. I only got 005b as the standard bearer which was my favorite
 
Just type in numbers and work your way down...Trial and error not difficult to determine
 
Frank is right, that's the way to do it. There are plenty of 009 remaining.
 
Thanks for pulling up this thread, I was trying to remember if these were released in 2017. That would be a yes, and makes them my #1 release of the year.

Anyone not having these figures should click the buy it button and not wait another minute. And as always start with the standard bearers or maybe that should be standard bearer in this case :wink2:.

005b is now gone. I hope all those who wanted one purchased one.
