Let me jump in here and both try to resolve this situation as well as clarify a few things.
First, both Janusz and Vicknor, I do understand your frustration with this piece. However, we can't resolve issues if they aren't directly communicated to us and chatting about them on a forum doesn't help us to resolve an issue. So I would request that if you want us to resolve this please email us at the email address on the top right of our website (info@....). Viknor, we can very easily solve this for you, but we can't solve issues that we aren't aware of. I read the forums periodically, but I don't consider them a contact method for customer service. So please, follow up with me by email and we'll get this taken care of for you quickly and painlessly without you having to send a figure to the USA and getting you a new TYW006. Unfortunately, we just don't know by and large who a forum member is hence we can't solve problems without real names and addresses, which is why we need actual contact. We will always stand behind our products.
As for the Winged Hussar figures in general, yes there has been a packing issue with TYW006, but we do think that we've resolved it. For the other figures, TYW004/005a/005b/007/008/009/010 we haven't had any such issues. All totaled we have shipped hundreds and hundreds of these figures and it's only been TYW006 that has had a systemic type issue with it. For all other codes, damage reported has been less than 1% which represents the odd problem beyond our control (i.e. rare instances).
So "help me help you" and please contact me by email and we'll get this taken care of.
Thanks!
Matt
So is Treefrog getting their stock replaced by the updated model?. I hate to order it and it having a broken wing....
These figures are real polish winged hussars (and turks) because they were produced in Poland in the nineties. There were no boxes but the sellers brought the figures by car. So there were no broken wings at all. But this is not possible if you are shipping products in the whole world. I am very happy about the new figures of First Legion because the old veterans needed some younger reinforcements. View attachment 216272View attachment 216273
Huge and fantastic collection...
It makes me wonder that I never seen them. Were they produced on order?
Dear Janusz!
No, they were not produced on order but they are very rare. There were made in the early nineties by professional polish artists who sold them to only a few collectors in Germany and Austria. The problem was that the production of one figure took too much time and you could not send the figures by mail. So the figures were delivered by the producers themselves. It would be a funny thing today if John Jenkins or some of the other producers would come to your door to tell you: "Hello, here are your figures!" Years later I tried several times to buy new figures but it was not possible anymore. They had finished their production forever. But nevertheless I am the thankful owner of approxemately 80 polish winged hussars and turks and many other figures of their different production lines. I show you some of the turks because they are maybe an inspiration for First Legion. By the way: The left one is Kara Mustafa.
Kind regards and "Marsz, marsz, Dąbrowski!"
Sam
