[FONT=&quot]I saw a diorama from Vitaly Putzenko a couple of months ago on FB and commented on it. And before I knew it, I had commissioned one. I then worked with Aleksey Buriak on the figures with substantial help from Vitaly.

Absolutely wonderful ! :salute:: {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

The great photography really shows your diorama off, it looks so realistic. Probably the best I've seen !

A wonderful piece, what I like the most is the water effect..

Outstanding diorama, a great acquisition for your collection, Andreas!
I second Poppo, too, I really like the water effect!

Prost!

Thank you for all the kind words. The praise has to go of course to Vitali (https://www.facebook.com/vitaly.puzenko) and Aleksey (https://www.facebook.com/SilverDreamStudioSPB/). They were very easy to work with.

This thread was triggered by many people receiving broken figures through the mail. I posted this to show that with - admittedly monumental - effort, even complex and breakable collectibles can be shipped internationally.

It also so happened that several weeks ago, I received a package from Ana in Argentina without any damage to the Delhi Durbar figures. Those were also very well packaged.

Absolute magnificence! Vitaly's work is the very, very best. I feel lucky to have many of his creations in my collection and have collaborated on designs with him. The effort he puts into shipping his work is remarkable as well, as shown in your photos. Congratulations on a most brilliant acquisition and thank you for sharing the photos.

If I may ask, what material has been used to build the house facade and bridge? Polyceramics as on the King&Country sets, some kind of resin as in the case of JG Miniatures ?
Cheers

Vitaly's models are made with polystyrene plastic. There are a few other materials used for finely sculpted objects and his own photo-etch details, but what you see is almost entirely precision cut/formed/surfaced plastic. It is very well supported, durable and light weight. His models are entirely hand made. They are not nearly as clunky or brittle as some other mediums. He creates the best designs and makes the best structures I have seen. He is a master painter as well and painted for Arsenyev and Aeroart for many years. He sculpts figures as well and has unearthly talent. I have much of his work in my collection. They are my centerpieces. He has been making dioramas for Russian Vityaz and Aeroart for many years and has always used the same materials.
