While driving my son home from Austin Texas, during the drive we made a stop in Luray, VA at Cooter's Place, aka The Dukes of Hazzard museum. Key word - WOW. What a collection. All of the major cars are there including the original moonshiner - The Gray Ghost as well as 2 General Lees, Police Monacos, The Tow Truck, The Daisy Jeep and the best of all, the 1971 Boss Hogg's caddy. Really neat to see them up close. Additionally, the collection of show memorabilia is off the charts. Literally toys of the show from the late 70s/early 80s mint in the box. I have only ever seen one other star's collection that rivals it and that is Gene Simmons from KISS. Just a cool way to spend a couple of hours. Also, a diner/counter is attached and while not healthy food perse, dadgum tasty and homemade.
