Always admired those SPGs. Nice dio although the color of the rifle slings come off a little bright, non OD in the photo. Chris

Originally the M1 and M1903 rifles had russet leather slings, but during WW2 the slings were changed to cotton webbing. The fisrt ones were a light greenish tan (OD#3) but later ones were the more familiar OD#7 in darker brown-green. So the slings appear to represent early production of the web slings.
