I was asked a little while back to build a V1 launch site based on a set that was sent to me here are some pics of what I came up with. As you can see all I have in terms of the V1 series is the recently released V1 with small section of ramp. I did not buy the additional ramp section but, this was enough for me at this time.
So, the dio. Its based in two parts but, measure 4ftx3ft and the part that's just about finished bar a little brush here and their is pictured. I was asked to build the blast walls and add a Bunker for the command staff and crew with a removable roof. I grassed the roof of the bunker and the wall tops have camo added as was the case on a number of german V sites.
I added a bench and some interior detail to the bunker a radio/control system the door has metal handles to the outside and a round wheel for entry from inside. Having seen a German eagle inside one V bunker I moulded a eagle and added it to the rear wall. all that is needed is a map of the continent and the UK on the wall and some figures.
The V1 is for show but, when the two sections are butted up against each other it sits much further forward than where I have placed mine.
The larger section with just blast walls is pictured on my workroom floor with a decent bit of work to do and adding of bushes etc but, most is done.
Having the discussion about some issues with Figarti elsewhere I have to say the V1 series and V2 niggles aside is a very interesting range
Hope some like this
