V1 life Sze Model Flying At Omaka Air Show (1 Viewer)

For all these decades everyone believed the myth that they all escaped to South America....but it seems otherwise! there the kids are playing in Middle Earth! ^&grin :wink2:
Very cool toys......
Wayne.

Very good mate and no sheep where hurt during the filming ^&grin.

Amazing model, but even more so the flying skills to launch and bring back safely. If it was mine it would be stacked in no time flat into the ground. I would have the bombed out version like the rest of my diorama pieces.^&grin, Robin.

We brought a supply of parts back here after the war, and Republic reverse-engineered a complete missile, as the JB-2 Loon. There were plans to fire them from the deck of modified landing craft, in the assault on Japan, but the end of the war came before that use could be applied. The rocket was very useful in the development of guided missiles, though.

When I saw your post, my first thought was that this was a restored version of one of those post-war missiles. That's an interesting club project, to be sure!

Prost!
Brad
