I'm planning on going home to Virginia for 2 weeks in late Sept/Oct, hopefully catching a Ravens game/fishing/crabbing,going to visit Gettysburg, and some other ACW battlefields, and also found out that there is a soldier show on Oct 9th in Fredericksburg!! see you there George!! plus look forward to seeing some fall foilage, you take it for granted until you don't have foilage to change ha!! visiting friends/family as well, can't wait gonna be a great vacation:)...Sammy

Sound like a boring vacation...
I think you Sammy should go to the Caribean, relax on the beach by Pina Coladas,Mojito,Cuba Libre,Daiquiry,...watch some babes,....you know man the reagea style:salute:::salute::

I usually don't go anywhere but just enjoy time off and not having to report to anyone at specific times and places. But since this is a Kulmbach year, and I've never been to the show, I'm planning a trip over to see it. It'll be nice to spend some time in Munich again, too.

Otherwise, summer is cycling, evenings in my beer garden, and taking in the Reading Phillies with my dad.

Prost!
Brad

I hope to get my family to Walt Disney World this summer. But right now with the VET BILSS and now the washing machine not draining.WHO KNOWS It never ends.I guess I`ll stay home and golf.
Cheers

Probably no vacation as such for me, maybe the odd few days off here and there. Busy working on the house and putting money into it.

Hopefully my wife and I will vacation in the New England States this year - don't know when yet.. Boston (especially the Rev War sites and Old Ironsides, etc), Lexington and Concord, Vermont, Maine (southern part - just to say we got there), etc... @ George G.. - I might need some good tips for visiting your neck of the woods!

I think I have already tapped out my 2011 vacation fund -Mexico in January , Palm Springs now and then California Coast next week. Will spend summer in my Beer Garden ( AKA back yard) and visiting the grandkids.

Yep! WE are the Virginia of the North for history. Get to Cape Cod or the North Shore for the ocean if you can.

Being retired, I feel like I am on vacation everyday  With that said, my wife and I have rented a house for a week in Avon, NC on the Outerbanks/Cape Hateras National Seashore. We have invited our children and grandchildren to join us. Nothing between our house and the Atlantic Ocean other than sand. Mornings on the beach, afternoons on the upper deck enjoying adult beverages and wonderful ocean views, evenings enjoying fresh seafood and hushpuppies.
:smile2: Mike

I've got some great trips lined up this year; Lancaster PA this weekend, Valley Forge and Gettysburg April 29th, 30th and May 1st, Annnadale Virginia June 4th, Valley Forge PA July 7th through the 10th, Annandale VA September 10th, Chicago IL September 21st through the 25th, Fredericksburg VA October 9th, Lancaster PA October 28th through the 30th, Hackensack NJ November 6th, Freeport NY November 12th and Annandale VA December 3rd.........................oh wait, those are the shows I'm doing, not vacations??.......^&confuse

Oh well, been at this 13 years and haven't taken a vacation, why start now? Besides, I have a ball at all the shows, so I kill two birds with one stone on every trip.............

Love the outer banks, almost took a job there, I used to stay around Kitty hawk, but loved to go on long rides down the end of the island to the ferry, or 4 wheeling on the beach at Oregon inlet, looking forward to making it back there someday soon...Sammy

With all due respect, what would you know about "the reagae" style?

We're thinking New Mexico. Would love to go to Peru too.
