VEH013-015 SdKfz 251 Series and German Figures! (1 Viewer)

And for the one that I know all of our WWII customers have been waiting for, we are happy to finally present our renditions of the SdKfz 251 series of German Half-Tracks. These incredibly detailed vehicles add to your Stalingrad German display options and an armored column is brought to life. We have done several variants to allow for larger displays and though a mix of 16th and 24th Panzer Division, they can be combined in a single display as these divisions were amalgamated during the battle due to heavy losses. Additionally, we've done GERSTAL059 German Officer Reading Map which is meant to be displayed either inside the back of the half-track (hence the special thin base) or outside the open rear doors as well as GERSTAL059 German figure firing the top machine gun. Finally, it comes with a driver figure seated in place who can be seen from back as well as through the driver vision port. With so many fantastic display options, these vehicles will make a wonderful addition to any serious WWII toy soldier collection!

Thanks, glad you like them. Unfortunately, no, the seated German infantry sets GERSTAL033/034 do not fit very well into the rear of the halftrack. These figures were produced initially to work as tank riders, passengers in the Opel Blitz, and passengers in the SdKfz 7. The space in the back of an SdKfz 251 is much more cramped and to fit figures in the back, the sculpting would need to be changed pretty significantly.

Yes, it's fixed, though as it's a separate casting part it wouldn't difficult to remove them.

These releases look fantastic. I've pre-ordered the two 24.Panzer Division versions (Sd.Kfz.251/1 & /3). This should open up a number of new scenes, both large and small. There are numerous pictures of mixed tanks and halftracks on the steppe so I'm looking forward to experimenting with various combinations.

The Stalingrad infantry should stand in nicely for Panzer Grenadiers (ignoring the Waffenfarbe) and I'm looking forward to working on some scenes with grenadiers exiting the SPWs.

Wow, I take a few months off from the hobby and come back to FL Panzer IV's that are sold out {sm3} (c'mon second batch...c'mon second batch) and these 251's.
Decided I have to have one of each (it's the grey...love the grey) and some of the new figs. Great time to be back in the hobby !:salute::

Wow, I didn't realize they sold out so quick. Either large demand or smaller run or a combination of both. I might have to pull the trigger on the Halftrack or miss out.

Yeah, I was stunned when I hit every site I could think of and everyone was sold out. Apparently, there's a drive on to show Matt that there's enough demand for another batch, which is why dealers are accepting pre-orders...hoping there's demand.

Hi Mike,

From past experiences there will be more of the Panzer IV's made for sure. As a rule if you go to the First Legion website and the photo is still there and the item is listed as sold out that means there will be more arriving at some point. When the item is no longer shown on the site that means there will be no more made or coming its gone. I've seen this happen many times :wink2:. I wanted to get the short barrel version myself and missed on the first run, I'm currently waiting to see more arrive as well :salute:: best Gebhard
